I would love to answer that, but I simply don't have any idea. What I do know is that he's super good, and we want guys that are super good. I'm hoping our front office isn't gonna be all, "well, we don't want to be THAT good".

You say that as if it were an issue. If McCutchen wants to come play here when he's 32, I will welcome him with open arms. He'll almost certainly be better than whoever we have in center at that time, whether it's Fowler or Heyward or whoever. Thanks, but I'll take Bryce at that point. Lmao. Just to be clear, I never said I would rather have McCutchen. I was just saying it might be somewhat more realistic for us to land McCutchen. I would take Harper or Trout any day.

yeah he might do that when he becomes a free agent. before the 2019 season. at which point he will be 32 years old. You say that as if it were an issue. Maybe I should have chosen my words differently. What I was trying to say is that this new Cubs era is going to be the biggest "deal" in Chicago since the Bulls. I never said the Hawks weren't a dynasty. Honestly, they could win the cup 5 years in a row and it wouldn't equate to one Cubs world series.

I know. But he referenced a specific season, not a time period. He referenced a season where the Blackhawks began with 24 games without losing. Then you tried to say "yeah but dynasty", which is ALSO a thing the Blackhawks are. Your argument makes no sense. I don't even have an argument.

Well, as far as a single season, maybe. But I was speaking more to the dynasty aspect. We aren't going away anytime soon. I'm 26, and the Cubs have had a few good years in my lifetime. But, we have never been set up to be good for an extended period of time. Haha, what? The Blackhawks are a dynasty already. The Cubs are a hopeful one. I know. But he referenced a specific season, not a time period.

I'm gonna pull my hair out. I did NOT say that the horsefeathering Blackhawks were not a dynasty. He was referring to a specific season, and I was responding to his comment. The Hawks are obviously as close to a dynasty as we have seen in the NHL for some time.

Guys... not only are we about to be 23-6... but we have Jake going tomorrow. We're about to complete a 7 game sweep of the Pirates and Nationals. So, to all my friends who are fans of the White Sox and Dodgers and such that blamed our easy schedule for our hot start... PUT THAT IN YOUR PIPE AND SMOKE IT...

But he's not hurting the team; he's THAT good an all-around player. Bump him lower in the lineup maybe, but putting him on the DL for something he likely just needs to keep playing through doesn't accomplish much. Yeah, I'm thinking he can probably play defense with one arm and still be worth keeping in the lineup.

Since I have both Sherzer and Rondon on my fantasy team, I'm actually kinda okay with this comeback. Anything I can do to offset the -14.5 that Sherzer posted for me today.
