I was torn on what this theme should be but someone suggested Brooklyn Nine-Nine. The Cubs got off to a rough start to the year again, but out of nowhere, somehow the SuperCubs have emerged. Sammy Sofa missed all the good stuff again last night. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-h79P_QlR0_U/UytRRbrWeOI/AAAAAAAACX0/QUTBaxl6de8/s1600/Brooklyn99Insider-Santiago-Peralta-Look+Beautiful+2.gif That game went on too long for Drinky Joe. He got a little drunk and made some questionable decisions. But the more he drank, the more he was able to envision a path to victory. Through sheer drunken brilliance, Joe managed to rest our good relievers while making the already-overtaxed Mets bullpen even more worn out. Theo had a chat with Joe after the game, though, and he is going to somehow manage this one sober. http://www.the-arcade.ie/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/tumblr_noi813Asau1rixl9io2_250.gif Cub legend Jon Lester takes the mound today. Lester has a 2.71 ERA on the year, but he's been at his best the last couple weeks, working at least 6 innings in all of his last three starts, while walking 2 and striking out 18. Somehow he's going to be even better today against this hapless Mets squad. He'll oppose Steven Matz. Matz started off his career auspiciously but went in the tank after coming down with Metsitis. He's got a 5.60 FIP this year and left his last start with another injury. His 3.55 ERA will somehow see some serious regression today. This one will be a laugher. Another dance party at Citi Field before we head home.
