  1. Oh no! There are so many good teams in the AL! How are we ever going to beat... 1 of them?
  2. If I had to guess most teams probably are similar?? Most teams don't lose 9 games in a month.
  3. No horsefeathers. If we were losing a bunch of games when scoring a lot of runs, that would be even a bigger issue.
  4. Yeah stupid inconsistent offense an issue again. I’m not even sure how you “fix” that Keep playing more games.
  5. We've completely outplayed them this year and are going to be 3-5 against them because we somehow always find a way to have Anthony Bass or Luke Farrell pitching against them in the biggest spot of any close game.
  6. Almora is somehow BABIP'ing .385 despite never hitting the ball out of the infield.
  7. Heyward's also somehow overcome his blindness in the outfield.
  8. Heyward is an above-average hitter and he's still the 10th-most valuable position player on our team.
  9. They just don't seem very athletic. Yeah, I think that's a lot of it. They just aren't capable of doing athletic things on the field. It's a bunch of weirdos they created in their lab that shouldn't be good at baseball. But they showed they can hit a little in the minors and made their way up to the big club and turned into Stan Musial for a few weeks before settling in as average players that can hit some and can't do much else.
  10. The Cardinals are such a bad baseball team. Sloppy. Lazy. Stupid. Bad base running. Bad defense. Poorly managed. They have some talent, but they'll never be able to compete with us.
  11. btw, that Heyride was on a pitch on the inside. Duke somehow confirmed right about something.
  12. He might be on our roster after they DFA him.
  13. Martinez sucks. Cards suck. VBs now our biggest threat. Also... VBs suck.
  14. horsefeathers, I thought that was carrying over his head.
  15. Not sure I can handle 9 innings of Smoltz tonight, so this one is going into extras.
  16. Keep donging these turds. We still owe them from the Luke Farrell weekend.
  17. Michael Wacha has made 12 starts against the Cubs since the start of the 2015 season. He's given up at least 5 ER in 7 of them. He also gave up 3 ER in an inning the one time he faced the Cubs out of the pen. Oh and he gave up 3 dongs in his one playoff start against the Cubs. Including the playoffs, since the start of the 2015 season, he's pitched 12.0% of his innings against the Cubs and given up 23.9% of his ER against the Cubs. 30.6% of his HR have been given up to the Cubs. He has an 8.03 ERA against the Cubs and a 3.48 ERA against the rest of the league in that time.
  18. Looking through Almora's infield hits in his career, most of them are hard hit balls that deflected off of a glove with a few cheapies that everyone gets sprinkled in. He's not beating out infield hits. He's just hitting it hard at shortstops who don't have as much time to recover as a second baseman. We have a lot of righties like that: Bryant, Contreras, Baez, Russell, and Almora all have high IFH% and the only ones that are really "beating out" infield singles are Baez and Bryant.
