  1. Cubs all-time leader in post-season home runs in a career? Kyle Schwarber.

  3. Is he being held in that room against his will?

  5. I have a bad feeling... that we are going to have to win this in New York in Game 6 instead of in Chicago now.
  6. By the time we got done donging: http://i.imgur.com/lkWV3Co.gif http://stream1.gifsoup.com/view6/20141023/5127654/mr-met-o.gif
  7. Good read. It appears that things were exactly how I imagined them to be, in a "[expletive] me, we are so horrible that we probably have cafeteria trays shielding our computer servers from leaking water because this is such a hellhole" kind of way. It just confirms that, yes, we really were that far behind the times. Other than, you know, all the dongsmiths, the one thing I have been most happy about is the stuff like this. We've made a ton of great hires. We've updated so much. This is what it takes to build a Cardinals-like dynasty that just keeps chugging along.
  8. I also like the: "Look at these four guys we didn't have in the lineup when their pitchers shuts us down 7 times. We are sure to rake against them now!" It's almost like I could say: After how bad we fucked up deGrom twice already, I don't even want to see him have to face Schwarber now, too. You lurking Mets fans understand how pointless this all is?
  9. lol at those Mets fans. God forbid we feel confident about our team that had more wins than them, a higher Pythagorean winning % than them, a better record by BaseRuns, more batting WAR and more pitching WAR, oh and a 7-0 record against them. Oh, that's right, you're not the same team since the trade deadline. It's too bad that we also had a better record than you since then. Oh and we also just knocked off the only two teams that had a better record than us in the regular season -- two teams that we played 19 times in the regular season, and still came away with a much better record than a team that played 35% of their games against the Braves, Phillies, and Marlins. And we have been sitting back and waiting for you guys to eek out your Division Series victory after we donged a 100-win team into oblivion. I also like how someone posted some pitching stats like xFIP and it was explained away because some other their guys not pitching as many innings, which, OK, I'll give you that. But, the other reason they gave was because Arrieta skewed our numbers by being god-like. Hmm, it's almost as if you are going to have to face that god-like pitcher at least twice this series. Anyway, sure, I feel confident. As I am sure they do too. We both should be confident and expect no less of the other side. We both have good teams. And the playoffs are a crapshoot; anything can happen. But, lol at their reaction of: "Oh my god, the audicity of them to feel confident about their 97-win team full of dongsmiths."
  10. If the Cubs win the NLCS, I can assure you, Steve Bartman won't be running through my mind. I feel bad for him. But, [expletive], I don't know him or really care about him. I wish he wouldn't have been treated the way he was, and it is horrible that he had to turn into a hermit. But, he never crosses my mind at all.
  11. I'm pretty happy with this match-up. The Mets pitchers give up more fly balls and homers than Greinke/Kershaw. They also throw their fastballs more. I like our chances to dong, still. Four games of Kershaw and Greinke would be rough.
  12. OMG I CAN DOWNLOAD AND SAVE THAT :D One step ahead of you... just like Joe Maddon was against Mike Matheny all week.
  13. Never mind, we don't need them. The Cardinals did enough hacking the last two days, anyway. http://sportsmockery.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Eddie-Vedder-at-Lesters-house-post-Cubs-NLDS-win-on-Vimeo.mp4?_=1
  14. it's password protected now. damn. [expletive]! Well, maybe the Cardinals front office can help us out, since they don't have anything to do right now.
  15. Sorry if this has been posted in another thread, but here's a video of Eddie Vedder singing "Someday We'll Go All the Way" with the team, at the after-party at Lester's house.

  18. Ding Dong Johnson seriously is the best username ever.
  19. Watching the two Schwarber shots, I just sat back, grinning smugly at the TV. Baez's had me jumping up and down, mostly because of the timing and the unexpectedness. Yep. I was jumping up and down, yelling, "Javy!" over and over again, deliriously.
  20. I forgot Fernando shot an arrow. I was yelling, "Shoot an arrow! Shoot an arrow!" And then the camera panned to him at the perfect moment, right before he did. I was so happy. It was literally the first time all series that TBS was able to catch something cool, because their camera work was so horrible, much like the rest of their work.
