The Theo stuff isn't even so bad, except for the horrible timing of it. It's the "Don't celebrate this yet! I've seen them blow it a million times! We are the Cubs! And if we lose... here's why!" mindset. I mean, wow, this man is paid to write things?

Schwarber's Wild Card Dong and his Game 4 Dong were, by far, the most impressive. It would take something crazy to be more prodigious or forceful. However, Javy's was worth more and came when we were trailing and put us in the lead. And it was with two outs. Under my arbitrary interpretation of the word "best," I'm gonna have to go with Javy's.

That Baez homer was one of my favorite sports moments ever. And, my god, that throw from Soler. All of the young guys stepped up huge this series. There were just so many great moments the last two days. Playoff baseball is so awesome. This team is awesome. I love everyone.

I'll try not to romanticize the significance of it too much, since it was only one game. But, how great was that game from Jorge Soler? I remember how excited I was about him last year. I'm thinking of that bomb he hit in Busch last year and how easy it was to fantasize about him doing something similar in a game with more implications. At the time, it was like, yeah, be ready for a steady dose of this in the future, Redbirds. And then he pumpkin'd on us this year. But, then today, he sorta reintroduced himself, as if to say, don't forget about me, guys. It's not that the one game magically changes anything with him or anything like that. He could go back to pumpkin status tomorrow and stay that way until the end of time. It was just fun, in the sense of: Oh yeah, we have this dongsmith, as well.

David, go Monday. It might as well be the close-out game, because Jake will completely plunder the Cardinals' wills to live. Arrieta will so dominate them that their spirits will be completely abandoned. After a complete game shutout from Jake, Game 4 will be nothing more than obligatory. Our close-out win will be de rigueur. The Cardinals will be playing that game posthumously. Go to Game 3 and watch Jake dominate. You will want to be able to say that you watched him shut down the Cards and witness a symbolic changing of the guard.
