  1. Albert... bad AB. He's been more patient this year, too. I have some hopes we can drill good habits into him, unlike Javy.
  2. It is impossible to get a hit against us with the bases loaded.
  3. I'm kinda shocked Addi didn't make that play.
  4. It's too bad he wasn't superbike racing.

  6. They are great. And Ross is actually really funny. He's been perfect as the hapless clod in these and the All-Star voting commercials last year.
  7. That picture is very funny, but it also really points to the delusion of those fans. They think that, like in "Homer at the Bat," their players are constantly succumbing to mysterious, absurd maladies because they are unlucky. When in reality, every single one of these injuries was incredibly predictable.

  9. Man, the Cardinals are just so bad. They suck. Their offense sucks. They have the worst defense in the league. Their bullpen sucks. Their rotation is really meh and is going to suck once a couple of their oft-injured starters become re-injured. They just suck. They might lose 90 games this year. And they are in a bad spot looking forward. They owe $369 million in future obligations through 2022. (We owe $253 million -- though obviously we're gonna be forking over some serious cash in arbitration that's not in there.) But, their roster is completely inflexible and they owe a bunch of money to a bunch of shitty old players. In 2020, they are going to be paying Mike Leake, Dexter, Yadi, Brett Cecil, and Kolten Wong a combined $69 million.
  10. Jett Bandy with a home run, too! I still refuse to believe he actually exists even though I know we just played against him.
  11. And up Cespedes HR total to 300 on the year Cespedes is doing his part. Cespedes just left the game with an injury. Also hurt are the perpetually hurt d'Arnaud, Duda, Wright, and Matz. I really thought this would be the year they'd get all those guys healthy.
  12. The Murderer's Row Brew Crew are putting a whooping on the Cards in the first. Babe Shaw with a homer. Roidy McBeardface with a hit.
