  1. Didn't see any of the game until the bottom of the 10th. Heard the last couple innings on the radio. Can someone fill me in on why Counsell walked the bases loaded with a guy on the mound who had already thrown like 7 of his previous 8 pitches for balls? And it's the top of the inning. It's not like it's the bottom and 1 run does it. He also put a second runner in scoring position and a third on base... with no outs. What the horsefeathers was he doing? Also... lol at the Brewers [expletive] the bed so hard. Nice base running.
  2. They have a thread going on at brewerfan.net about the toughest Brewers losses... And this is getting a lot of love: So what say you? Which one was the most satisfying win between that and last night?
  3. At this point, I'm for this, except definitely Otani.
  4. Our 106-win pace this year in the 2nd half is the worst of the last 3 second-halves. #thats2017Cub how much credit do we give to joe and our depth for this? how much is probably just happenstance between maybe easier stretch run schedules (off the top of my head, i doubt that was the case in 2015) and the fact that we've been a very good team for the past 3 seasons? We have to wait for Drinky Joe to get into Mid-season Drunk form each year.

  6. I really don't want the Brewers or Cardinals in the playoffs. It's entirely out of spite. But I want there to be no chance of either beating us in the playoffs. So let's just sweep them both and kill them ourselves.
  7. If we win only 1 of these next 3 and 1 against the Cardinals, we'd be guaranteed to be at least 1 up on both the Cardinals and Brewers heading into the final series. This thing is pretty much over.
  8. The average Brewers are 31-31 since the break, while the Super Cubs are 42-22.
  9. Remember the Spring Training Davis had, too? Yet another reminder to never pay attention to it.
  10. What is it if you take out his good games, though?
  11. Shout out to all of them! They played like the champions they are tonight.
  12. Remember when people wanted to trade Wade Davis earlier this year? lol
  13. Shout out to Javy, too. We were dead in the water and he got a huge hit with 2 strikes. KB's was the difference. But still 0 outs there. Decent chance we're scoring anyway. Don't want to take anything away from his clutchiness. But that was something a younger Javy isn't doing.
  14. Somehow, after all of the changes, Jon Jay is still in the game, and possibly winning it.
