  1. Oh, horsefeathers. Addy is up already again???
  2. Interesting. I would more guess Felipe whatever his last name is now is going to need about eight pitches.
  3. God, I need Willy's dong so bad right now.
  4. J-Hey grounder to second is what I'm guessing.
  5. Yeah, I decided a few games back that I don't love J-Hey in the No. 3 spot.
  6. At one point I thought he could be better than any of these guys. I once thought that about Jorge Soler.
  7. At least we will always have the grand slam.
  8. Please, Baseball Gods, let Rizzo be OK. Not one of those where he stays in for an inning, has to come out and is never seen again.
  9. They don't happen often, but I'd really like one of those games where we score 10 runs in the first three innings and win 16-2.
  10. He’s been bad for some time, it seems after that stretch where he got hit to get his BA to ~.270s and OPS in the .700s Yeah, sometimes I start to think he's going to be one of those classic old-school shortstops, the all-world defense, relatively no-hitting variety. At this point, I'd just settle for him slugging .400.
  11. I think I've decided Addy doesn't do horsefeathers on offense.
  12. I've learned in the past that even when things don't seem like it during certain moments of a long season, Duker is always right by the end of it. Until Duker is wrong, I am going to ride with him.
  13. Alos, that sounds suspiciously like a Heyman CYA tweet. I bet the Cubs and several other teams are in the same demographic. Yeah, this feels like one of those instances in which he was talking to somebody in the industry who brought this up, and although he can't write a story on it because there just isn't enough there, he wants to put it out there just in case it happens so it can be shown he was on top of things. Which is fine.
  14. 5 https://www.baseball-reference.com/play-index/tiny.fcgi?id=0TCHW Cool. Thank you.
  15. JD, man. That dude is amazing sometimes.
  16. The Bote magic is gone. Send him back down.
  17. Yeah when they don’t have a complete dumpster fire rotation Then, I don’t want to hear from the media how well they play in the 2nd half under Joe. You are opposed to facts?
  18. The bullpen is awesome, though, so don't we have to give him credit for that? ETA: Sorry. Didn't see that second graph.
  19. Good point. The Cubs needed him to grind out an extra inning because we couldn’t afford another 5-6 inning start and now it could be biting us on the other end. It’s a never ending cycle He had an extra day rest, though, to be fair. But I'm willing to use it as an excuse.
  20. What's the most runs we have scored in the first inning this season? Is that easy to look up? It dawned on me that I don't remember jumping on a team like this, but I also know a lot of games have been played.
  21. I wouldn't mind Q just throwing every pitch right down the middle. Let's just get some contact.
  22. Man, Q needed 34 pitches to get the first out.
