  1. I'm not ashamed to admit it. I'm really nervous and scared. ETA: But I'm also a ninny.
  2. Oh, man. This is baseball right here. Home run type dude up with a guy on first, two outs, and we are leading by one.
  3. How is everyone feeling? I'm a bit nervous because of the wind, but I'm also more just kind of stunned that I have to be a bit nervous. Perhaps some don't think there is a chance the Twins score and others don't care because it's July 1. I'm somewhere in the middle.
  4. Man, this post 20 minutes ago would seem absurd.
  5. Oh, man, went back to having a really bad at-bat.
  6. Question. Is the Twins' offense better than I think as I don't know anything about them, was a lot of their offense simply because of the conditions or did the Cubs' pitching just suck this weekend?
  7. Would love to see Morrow get four outs without letting a runner get on.
  8. Let's just worry about getting the win and not by how much at this point.
  9. Maddon is probably going to want to get Maples.
  10. Probably depends on how you weight Bob Howry's fantastic first two years versus his awful third year. Randy Myers had a good run.
  11. I happened to check this for the first time this season, but I see Javy has 13 stolen bases in 14 attempts. Not only is the percentage great, but I had no idea he had stolen that many unless stealing home counts as five.
  12. Do the Reds have like 10 grand slams in the past 30 games or something???
  13. Guys like Sofa and I, we were trying to tell you this. We can agree scoring a lot of runs is ideal and fun Oh. Duker was saying scoring all these runs was boring. I now realize he was being sarcastic.
  14. In all seriousness, see how much more fun this is? Yes, no horsefeathers Guys like Sofa and I, we were trying to tell you this.
  15. The collapse potential is lessening In all seriousness, see how much more fun this is?
  16. During a stretch like this, does R Mack focus on how the Bulls aren't getting LeBron and/or that Zobrist failed to get the guy home from third with one out in the first inning?
  17. This might just be my imagination, but it feels like the Cubs are only swinging at strikes in the past three or four games. Feels like there has not been much chasing at all.
  18. Remember last year when we went 60 straight games allowing at least one run in the first inning? I feel the new thing this season is our starter throws 25 plus pitches in the first inning of every game.
  19. These last two games have been very 2016 like. Even when they get down by three, they come back. Relentless quality at-bats where every pitcher is throwing 30 pitches just to get out of innings.
  20. So proud of the club for adding runs when given the chance. We weren't doing that in several instances this season. It made things so much more difficult. You add extra runs like this, and it doesn't make every pitching choice so crucial. Well, until the ninth inning when we have to go to Morrow with a four-run lead.
  21. Random question: How many current Cubs have read this board at some point?
