Nah we were playing just as bad right before the break in 2017 We were 5-20 going in to the break in 2016, I believe. Which is somehow worse than 2017 or even where we are so far this year. Holy horsefeathers, is that true?

Nah we were playing just as bad right before the break in 2017 We were 40-42 at one point there, but had we sucked for more than a month? I feel like this slump started in late May.

It's pretty crazy. The starting pitching sucks. The relief pitching sucks. The offense sucks. The baserunning sucks. The defense sucks. Like, everything sucks.

I can't expect the Cubs to win. All I ask is that they catch the fly balls that they are parked under. That they don't lose the baseball during an exchange of hands and boot it away and that if Willy overthrows the guy on a steal attempt that the other guy is backing up.

This is all true. That championship was vital. It also takes a horsefeathers ton of anxiety off as a fan, provided the big dream was to actually see it happen. And considering it was an awesome season and then turned out to be an unreal World Series that could not have been written any better, I mean, every season after is never going to be as good. I actually care more about the Brewers never winning one then the Cubs doing it again, although I'd like the Cubs to do it again. I say this sober.

Wow, the biggest accomplishment is that we had been in first since June 18. How in the hell did they stay in first that long? I feel like we have won three games since then.

Not really. The offense did stuff when the pitchers were just trying to get outs with big leads.

I feel like eventually the Cubs just need to start winning or it's not going to matter what the scores of the other games are. They are so damn fortunate to only be one game out of first right now. The Brewers are so lucky, of course, to be up a game. But horsefeathers them. Cubs, ya gotta start playing better.

Well, at least it's still early enough that the Cubs might hit three or four dongs and win.

Well, I think I've come around to the people who don't think this team is very good. Every day I see at least one just careless defensive play that looks like Little Leaguers, the offense can't score runs without hitting home runs and we are not even playing well against subpar teams.

I know this is probably over the top, but I like when guys on the Cubs are having good years but don't actually make the team. I prefer they get the full time off.

Without looking at all the inflated numbers out there, I have to assume you couldn't. Well, you could try. But it wouldn't be a good one.
