  1. Did he just get the single? Yep. 5-5, HR, 3 2B, and now the single. Not bad.
  2. Baez a triple away from the cycle.
  3. Villanueva decided to hit a HR, too.
  4. [expletive], Almora is out-OPS'ing Correa by .450 points. We win.
  5. Maybe he's just been bunting every AB?
  6. If all goes right, he's a 2/3. Back end of the pen type if he can't stay healthy as a starter. Thanks, that's what I thought I remembered.
  7. Does Johnson have a ceiling of a 2-3 or is he an ace if all goes right?
  8. I would put our tradable assets into these categories. Only if someone overpays by a lot (think Juan Pierre trade*): Russell, Wood Only if someone overpays a little bit (think Sean Marshall trade**): Barney, Villanueva, Garza - if he's willing to sign a team-friendly extension Fair offer: DeJesus, Feldman, Garza - if he won't sign a team-friendly extension If you can get anything of value: Soriano, Marmol, Gregg. *We overpaid by a lot **They overpaid a little bit
  9. Yuck, Almora finishes the night with just 2 singles. Of course Theo was too stupid to sell high.
  10. Almora 2/3 so far. This is just starting to get silly.
  11. As disappointed as I am that he didn't continue his insane April, he's still a 20 year old in AA with nearly twice as many walks as strike outs. Hopefully he gets back to being awesome soon.
  12. Torreyes has been awful for awhile now. That sucks.
  13. You're just doing this to torture me, right? I really thought we had a chance to get him in last year's draft after he fell past the first two. Buxton or buxt. Your pining is what prompted me to look him up.
  14. Looked up Buxton's age and stats for the first time....goodness. You think the Twins want Soriano or Marmol?
  15. Also, after tonight's game, Brett Jackson has only struck out 5 times in 36 PA since his return from injury, 14% k rate.
  16. Since 4/28 Austin Reed has pitched 10 innings and hasn't allowed a run. He's only allowed 5 hits, but has 6 BB and only 5 K.
  17. Torreyes is 1/1 with 2 BB. His season K/BB is now 6/13 in 71 AB. I can live with that.
  18. Is there any way to not pitch Feldman again until the trade deadline, but make it so other teams don't know we stopped letting him pitch?
  19. "Just kidding." -Eric Jokisch
  20. I've had a good feeling about Torreyes since we acquired him. Of course, the last guy I had a good feeling about was Austin Reed. So I mean, [expletive] me, right?
  21. My analysis of the Kane County game: Rock Shoulders is pretty bad at 1B. I don't know where he's usually played in college/minors, but he just didn't seem used to 1B. He came off the bag twice for pretty decent throws, one of them he was still able to make the tag. He seemed athletic enough that if he can improve his footwork, etc. he could play passable 1B. All the balls that came to him were pretty routine, but he handled them fine. Contreras just took over for Vogelbach at DH and never played the field. Not sure what happened with Vogelbach. I was sitting behind the home dugout so I could see into KC's. I was just getting back to my seat for his 2nd AB, so maybe I missed something there, but I just saw him hanging out in the dugout the rest of the game, and he seemed fine. But the 2 times he did bat, he seemed in a different league than all the other hitters, both teams. There was a distinct difference in his bat speed, etc. I have no scouting experience or anything close to it, so I'm not sure how really to describe it, but you could just see a big difference between him and everyone else in the game. As I'm sure everyone knows, Candelario has a fantastic eye. I don't think he ever really made solid contact, which was disappointing, but I was really impressed with his patience.
  22. Yeah, I was shocked how nice that park was. There used to be a low-A team in my hometown and they used a crappy old high school field.
  23. Yep, #3, that's Vogelbach just doinking around in the dugout.
