  1. That depends. If a former top 100 prospect has to go back to the minors due to not being any good, does he still count as a top 100 prospect? That could give them the edge.
  2. A repeat of the two soul-crushing series at the end of the season last year would be nice.
  3. At this point, you have to imagine the Brewers have some sort of late spring/early summer tradition for their last day in first place. Maybe like a team photo and a bottle of champagne.
  4. more like jason heyturd ....wait, what happened?
  5. I mean Joe didn't really have a choice there, they had Quintana on the ropes. Walk, k swinging, k swinging, infield single.
  6. Even if they can’t get him signed I like the Ras, Tyler pick. I just hope they’re also keeping an eye on his brother Ras Trent.
  7. Kyle is the last guy I would expect to go out and Chatwood all over the place.
  8. I mean, it’s not as straight-forward but evaluating the mlb draft isn’t rocket science. You look at what number the pick is, then look at the pre-draft rankings, then you measure those against any standard list of numbers.
  9. Given that these guys can now be dealt right after signing, there is potential immediate impact here for a contender like the Cubs at the deadline. THEO!
  10. I can't believe Theo and McLeod didn't even take the time to look at the mlb.com rankings.
  11. We really don't know enough about these guys ability or their signability, to really say a team isn't smart for their pick. All we have our videos and various publication's scouting reports. There was a lot of negative stuff said about the Cubs' draft that netted them Schwarber and Cease and the Cubs did pretty well for themselves there. I don't think I'll ever forget how dumbfounded the mlb hosts were after the Schwarber pick because Alex Jackson was higher up on the list their producers handed them before the broadcast.
  12. 13 year old Juan Pierre Jr is there repping the Marlins in one of his dad's suits.
  13. I find roughly one out of five episodes to be completely hilarious, and the rest miserable. You are not going to heaven.
  14. First the rolled up pant legs, now this. They're really going the extra mile to make Chatwood feel loved.
  15. I want Maddon to not be the manager anymore.
  16. 38 year old Erik Kratz has hit 8% of his career home runs in his 10 ABs with the Brewers. Vaunted David Stearns adds another dimension to his chessboard.
  17. So Amaya is our #1 prospect at this point, right? He seems pretty top-shelf.
  18. Have any of the coaches even bothered to tell the Cubs hitters that this guy isn't that good?
  19. Mazzoni is so bad I don't understand that part of the move. Unless they want Hancock on the Iowa roster not pitching for now. He’s been very good in 21.2 IP at Iowa: 9.1k/2.1bb 1.062 whip 0.4 hr 1.25 era
  20. When you're sliding into first and you feel a big burst, diabetes....diabetes.
  21. Surely the delay is due to some sort of Qyburn/Gregor Clegane type situation, no?
