  1. Villanueva>Vitters>Olt If only Vitters could stop breaking all his [expletive].
  2. 3rd and 2nd, respectively. But then where does Alcantara play?
  3. He probably could, but since he already has the power, there may not be much value to that. And it could detract from his defense. He doesn't have to get huge, but he's like skinny-skinny, not just power hitter skinny. Seems like he can gain a bit without giving up any mobility.
  4. There was an interview with (I think) one of his college teammates who was talking about how scary his power would be once he could fill out his t-shirt and had to shave more than once every two weeks (or something like that).
  5. If he starts in AA, I don't think it would be much of a surprise if he made it to AAA sometime next year.
  6. Hang in there, biittner. I'm with you till the biittner end.
  7. Don't listen to them, biittner.
  8. Edwards is our most interesting pitcher to me, Maples is good now, and Conception still has another month or two of me having hope that he'll start to show something. It's much better than a couple months ago when we just had to wait around for Pierce Johnson day.
  9. EVERYDAY IS A GOOD PITCHING DAY!
  10. You haven't made a point that justifies the condescension you're using. How so? Not comparing Rizzo to anyone else here. I'm just saying if Rizzo doesn't develop our plans will be changed....... Vogelbach's OPS is only .034 higher and he's in low-A and plays much worse defense. And Rizzo just turned 24 today.
  11. The box score now has the run as unearned.
  12. The only explanation is that Hendricks is the next Greg Maddux and scouts will study him for the next 20 years trying to figure out what they missed.
  13. Hello Javier Baez, will you be my dad?
  14. Yeah, I'm interested in tracking it, but we're at the point where an implosion of the big league team is probably worse for the long-term success.
  15. I'm probably going to the Indy/Louisville game tonight. Is Billy Hamilton still a top prospect? He's only 22 but he's been pretty bad this year.
  16. Do we have a fecal league tracking thread anywhere? At the moment, looks like we could be anywhere from 4th to 14th. Currently 8th. Houston, Miami, and CWS seem like locks to end up worse, but we're within a game of the Padres, Phillies, Rockies, Angels, Blue Jays, and Mariners.
  17. And throw in his 12.2 IP 1ER 13/4 K/BB 0.71 ERA from AZL last year. Also not too shabby.
  18. I genuinely love collecting prospects, but I think it would be stupid to consider trading Samardzija unless you're getting both Skaggs and Bradley.
  19. Baez with an unspectacular 1/6 with a BB, but went 7 PA's without a k. So that's good.
  20. Baez has already shown better patience than Soriano. EDIT: Whoa, didn't realize so many new posts had popped up since the post I was replying to.
  21. 6 batters faced, 6 k's for Edwards. *shudder*
  22. In just a few months, our pitching has become almost as intriguing as our hitting. I'm happy about it.
  23. Baez is a murderer......A MURDERER OF BASEBALLS!! lol he hit another hr
