  1. I really wish they'd bat Castro-Rizzo 1-2, that way I could just stop paying attention for 30 minutes or so after Rizzo hits.
  2. At least the guys that are playing well are the ones that we plan to have around for awhile.
  3. Hard to be upset with an 11/0 K/BB ratio in the first 10 innings Where's Kyle?
  4. Edwards has rebounded from his rocky start and now at 5IP 3ER 5H 1BB 7K
  5. Could they really not find a manager who wouldn't sac bunt 5 times per game?
  6. It seems Baez had about as good an 0 for 3 day as you can have.
  7. Thanks for the info.
  8. What's the argument for Penalver? Does he play great defense or is it an upside thing?
  9. That's a pretty badass lineup.
  10. We've already gotten more production from the trade. Garza had -0.1 WAR for the Rangers and Grimm had 0.2 WAR for the Cubs.
  11. With Olt looking fixed, I would be starting to feel guilty about that trade if we weren't the Cubs.
  12. Olt-Castro-Baez-Rizzo in the infield, Soler-Almora-Bryant in the outfield, and Vogelbach at catcher, because at that point, why the hell not? It's happening, they're all going to be superstars.
  13. Hendricks is the pitching version of Villanueva. A safe bet to be solid but unspectacular. I think the 3 3B's slot in the next 3 spots for me, and then it's a tough choice between Hendricks, Vizcaino, and Zastryzny. I keep thinking of guys that deserve to be top 10, and then realize it's a list of about 20. It's a good problem to have.
  14. I suggested adding Jimenez mainly because one of the major publications had him around 12 or so. I forget which one though.
  15. He's one of those guys that I like a lot and want to rank him high...but then there are other people I want to rank high more. Hendricks is another one of those guys for me.
  16. I went with Olt because I'm an optimist. The only way Vogelbach will be of value is via trade to the AL, and that's only if his numbers improve. However, Olt could drop dramatically for me by May. I think his past performance earns him another shot to prove he's fixed himself. The hope that he's fixed and we instantly have a stud 3b on the big league team is just too much for me to let go of yet.
  17. My source doesn't have good news for us.
  18. I would suggest including Eloy Jiminez in the polls soon. I doubt he'll be top 10, but some publications have had him pretty high, and dummies like me vote disproportionately on ceiling.
  19. Rumor has it that the Padres are really interested in Tanaka, if the price is right. I think I just found my new career.
  20. I was going to say pretty much this same thing, verbatim. I knew all those same stats and everything, but saw that you already posted this. But anyway, I voted for Edwards, too.
  21. lmao I would LOVE it if they sprang No. 1 on us out of nowhere. now i hope that's it. It would be hilarious, but it's not at all likely. They're spending a lot on renovations already, which would just be money down the drain. And stadium negotiations usually take months and involve a lot of public input from some councilman who doesn't want the taxpayers stuck with the bill. Besides, so many towns would be willing to vie for the Cubs new ballpark that it wouldn't make sense to do it entirely in private. Maybe the renovations are just because Ricketts' plan the whole time was to flip Wrigley.
  22. I know which 3rd grader all of you would be, but I better not say.
