  1. who's fault is that?
  2. it is a human interest story but this piece just seems pointless other than to try and make you feel bad for steve bartman.
  3. Geez, can you get any more sensational about the play? Stupid. Everyone with a brain should know that play wasn't the sole reason the Cubs lost. Trying to make it into some sort of "you would've done it too" bit is dumb.
  4. To have a firesale dont you need to have expensive players someone else would want? A lot of teams would like to have Lee, Lilly, and Ramirez. Probably Fukudome too. I can see Lilly and Ramirez. Lee might net some good return too. Fukudome...I dont think we would get a lot. All have no trade clauses anyway.

  6. soriano HR here...only hope to help ease his terrible defensive game today.
  7. The on field caps are also available in a lower crown version. I love the one I have.
  8. Authentic Collection Grass Seed? Wow.
  9. I've seen stand alone banners, but not 8 packed in tightly around the marquee. Yeah, plus the long banner up higher....its just too much in a tight area.
  10. I think it looks cheesy too. A little overboard. I dont think the park other than the sign is ugly. I dont care much for the chain link fencing, but other than that I think its got a nice classic look. I wouldnt be opposed to some of these banners maybe further down the side of the park but it just looks clustered the way it is.
  11. That, and I think the older and more rare the old parks become(Wrigley and Fenway are really the last of the old ones), the more fans appreciate them. People want to experience it before it's gone or altered.
  12. I'd rather see him in AAA to start but I dont think the cubs are going to expect him to hit like he has in spring training. Lou said he will play a lot if he makes the team which was my biggest concern. I think we'll see him in chicago until Nady is healthy simply because hes a better hitter than Fuld.
  13. Of course they should trade him, if they could. But they can't, so there's no point. What does this have to do with forgiving him though? His weaknesses were well known before he came to Chicago and he's done nothing but play exactly like you'd expect over the course of three seasons in Chicago. It's not like he was Pujols before then came here and turned into Neifi. for the most part, except that he missed very few games in the seasons before he came to the cubs and now he gets hurt all the time. This. I feel like I have to hold my breath every time the ball isnt hit directly at him.
  14. Ramirez left the game in Mesa with a tricep injury.
  15. so i guess mlb.tv takes their feed from directv...nice
  16. got in a ton, but it cant process requests because of volume
  17. So apparently MLB has a new design for the batting practice hats again. I think most of em look like something you would find at a convenience store or walmart. http://shop.mlb.com/family/index.jsp?categoryId=3971623&cp=3971623&view=all http://mlb.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/pMLB2-6852873dt.jpg
  18. Id say Im more upset about Soriano than Fukudome. Fukudome is just repeating last year. Soriano has always been either really hot or really cold, but I dont believe hes ever been this cold for this long before.
  19. Im pretty sure he goes on rehab next week if everything goes right this weekend.
  20. The legs are the first thing to go. yeah but they didnt go at a normal rate. he went from 40 stolen bases to below average in no time.
  21. how did soriano's legs go from being able to steal 40 bases the year before we got him to old crippled man legs in an offseason.
  22. i dont understand how the guy can be good for the first month and a half 2 years in a row and then be horrible afterwards.
  23. I'm hoping that Ricketts ownership ushers in a new group of folks in the front office following the Red Sox lead. Theres no doubt in my mind that the Cubs can be a much, much smarter organization.
