  1. 2nd highest o/u of the week. Car v. NO is somewhere between 50-51 depending where you go. I don't think that's ridiculously high. All you need is a 27-23 score. I could easily see the final being 31-24 or higher.

  3. I think Culter would be catching hell in whatever market he's in just because the media, on a whole, doesn't like him. Also I think part of the reason the "Chicago environment for QB's" is worse than other markets is that the Bears have had almost entirely shitty QB's the last 10+ years so the fans/media are used to not liking/bitching about everything their QB does. I also think if Chicago had a Brees/Rodgers/Brady/Peyton even Eli/Ryan type QB (generally all liked by the media, perceived to be "better" guys, teammates, and players than Jay, despite Jay being able to put up numbers around what all those guys are capable of) Chicago wouldn't have a bad QB environment and probably make it easier on any of those guys if they were the QB for the Bears.
  4. There's no way they don't come out of this better. They already have proven/are showing they are willing to move on with other refs and things, like you said, are going well for the most part. Sure there were some errors this week (the refs holding out would certainly have missed calls this week and probably would have missed or made some of the same calls the replacements did). Also the NFL has these replacement refs in training and review sessions all week to show them what they need to do better or call more/less of. They will only get better. It's not like the old refs were reffing at some gold standard level that is unattainable or not able to be learned.
  5. That's more depressing than any hyperbole I could make up about this offseason. I really hope that's not true. they're all a good bet to be average-or-better players (much better in the case of Castro and Rizzo), so i don't see the big deal though i am, admittedly, probably higher on Valbuena than most If they were used for the right matchups/splits I think Valbuena/Vitters/Stewart could achieve league average production at 3B. Which isn't bad considering we should be getting above league average/replacement level production (likely considerably above at SS/1B) from the rest of the IF.
  6. Yea, don't think that one is going to last for long. Even if the Bears offense is "off" most of the game they should at least put up 20-24 against the Pack
  7. Eh, Cutler won't get the time in the pocket Smith has gotten today. Not to say Cutler shouldn't have his way with their secondary. But I don't think the results will come as easy as they are for Smith today.
  8. He's needs to tone it down in the OF a bit and stop playing like Sam Fuld and a littler more like Soriano and not going balls to the wall on every catch. At least 2 of his injuries are due to him crashing into walls, we don't need him doing that. Him staying healthy and on the field is worth far more than saving one [expletive] out crashing into a wall, especially in the minors.
  9. Lot's of good finishes coming up.
  10. The Falcons offensive like it's going to be as good as anyone's this year. But their defense is what could keep them from going too far in the playoffs
  11. Vitters HR!, whoops, wrong thread.
  12. Better get a bounty out on RGIII, he's pissing all over NO
  13. I'm all for shopping Barney around and try to play up his ability to play SS. I'd be a big fan of bringing in Drew to play 2B also. Trying to figure out a trade for J. Upton would be a high priority for me as well
  14. Bears 31 Colts 17
  15. [expletive] it, would be nice to lose and keep the choke hold on the #2 draft pick. Let's get the [expletive] sweep. http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f224/Raiffe/1cubs_sweep.gif http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v257/vance_the_cubs_fan/cubssweepsx1.jpg
  16. Guessing they will go BPA but still look to acquire a lot of high upside arms. BPA at the top 3 spots (where I assume we are picking) will likely be a pitcher.
  17. And only 1 of those guys had to use PED's to get there!
  18. Your sig is the dumbest thing in human history. This x2
  19. Probably just talk, but if Sveum plans on Soriano, DeJesus, and Garza all being part of the 2013 opening day roster, I'm not sure how much improvement can be made for next years team without significant free agent signings. I expect all those guys on the OD roster next year as well (especially Garza as his value is way down due to not pitching since June). I don't think anyone should be expecting the 2013 team to be much better than the 2012 team
  20. Young + Tate and Locker
  21. benches cleared Who started it? My money is on Miguel Socolovich, just because I have no [expletive] idea who he is or where he came from and he possibly could be Russian
  22. Sadly, I don't think there are many better options or guys that really are worth taking a look at. Especially because someone is going to have to step in for Samardzija soon.
  23. Almora isn't 25 spots/prospects better than Soler either, nor are there 25 guys who are better than Soler in between him and Almora. Both those lists are pure horse [expletive].
  24. And probably 7 of our top 10. I would think Johnson and Paniagua will also be top 10 guys
