  1. http://www.thescrib.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/the-bobs.jpg Hey Ricky, how would you like to have Quality Assurance Coach next to your name and as many as 4 people working right underneath you?
  2. What the hell is a quality assurance coach?
  3. Listening to Olney's podcast he's talking about Maddon, he said he basically thinks it's a done deal he's coming here. He seems really confident it's happening and he's talking more than it's just his opinion it's happening and more along the lines he knows it's going to happen.
  4. Must be nice...
  5. Don't think this needs its own thread and figured this was the best spot for it, any interest in this guy/how does he compare to Maeda for those that follow this stuff better?
  6. You'll have to be more specific as there's two of them in this game. Hope you mean Shane. Yes, Shane. Only know because I just looked at my fantasy roster for tomorrow that he is tentatively in.
  7. Vereen is apparently questionable as he has some sort of illness
  8. The main reason I'd love to get Maddon is that it likely signals that we are actually going to start spending money/resources on good major league pieces this offseason.
  9. Was the price really absurd? Was there ever any rumored price when we claimed him off of waivers?
  10. Steve Nash. Done
  11. With how shitty the east is there's really no reason to be running out Pau/Noah every night for huge minutes, both should be given some regular rest/lower minute games and they still should be able to be a top 2 seed.
  12. I mean sure, but if you offer a slightly above market deal to them I think it could get done. From a team who has said they are planning on spending/acquiring the right guys I think they could get it done. Do you think Heyward says no to something like 7/140-150 (basically the Carl Crawford contract except he's 5 years younger at the time of signing)?
  13. They can be extended and both are on the right side of 30
  14. Romo vs Washington or Wilson @ Carolina
  15. Your new starting QB in his interview today, Tennessee
  16. Agreed, I'd be fine with either. I like that Heyward is a bit younger and could play CF. Also He's left-handed, walks slightly more and strikes out less, and probably has some growth/upside left. I think his profile fits a little better into what the FO is trying to build with the offense. But like I said I'd be fine with either and they likely won't cost us any of Soler/Russell/Bryant/Castro like Stanton would. Probably more something out of a combination of Baez/Almora/Alcantara/Edwards/Pierce/McKinney, which I prefer.
  17. Well, yeah I'd make it contingent on an extension. Heyward should be the primary target. I'd do Baez+Almora for him if that's what it took.
  18. http://atlantabraves.blog.ajc.com/2014/10/20/braves-outfield-who-stays-among-uptons-heyward/ Heyward? back the prospect truck up I'd trade Baez for either one of those guys. Hopefully something more around Almora and Alcantara+ would work.
  19. Not quite the hospital so not good enough, right? Did his cellphone not work at the doctor's office that he couldn't have called in?!?!?!?
  20. http://gifrific.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/Mr-Burns-Saying-Excellent.gif
  21. Harold just said he truly believes the Royals wouldn't be here today if they didn't trade for Davis and Shields, well no [expletive] [expletive].
  22. Big Ben, unless Green plays then I'd go Dalton. Need 3 for 2 RB's/Flex Bradshaw @ PIT Vereen vs CHI Ingram vs GB Forsett @ CIN
  23. The NBA lottery reform, surprisingly didn't pass. All the insiders were saying it was going to be near unanimous and turned out only 17 teams voted for it. Needed 23 votes or more to pass. PHX, PHL, OKC, NO, DET, MIA, MIL, San Antonio, Utah, Wash, ATL, CHA and Chicago were the teams who didn't vote for it.
  24. I think there's like a 30% chance he gets traded, unless Smart looks like he can be a starting PG then I'd say it's closer to 80%. He's hard to put a value on.
