  1. Between Carpenter's and now Fowler's flyouts it doesn't look like the wind is really carrying the ball that much
  2. I don't know which Ron Swanson gif best fits by reaction to this glorious lineup so I'm just gonna use a few http://33.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lp5tjfZcQC1qii6tmo1_500.gif http://i.imgur.com/vR70vKC.gif http://a.fod4.com/misc/swansonsmile1.gif http://a.fod4.com/misc/sebastianswason.gif
  3. Mariota mostly because Brees is throwing a worse ball than Manning right now
  4. Luck out again tonight, have to think there's more to the injury than just a bruise or whatever minor injury they claim he has
  5. I'm in a wedding this weekend.... I pray I get good enough cellular coverage to be able to stream Friday and Saturday's game on my phone while I am attempting to attend to my obligations.
  6. Guess on lineup??? I think 1 of Coghlan or Soler plays over LaStella Fowler- CF Schwarber- LF Rizzo- 1B Bryant- 3B Coghlan- RF Castro- 2B Ross- C Lester- P Russell- SS
  7. I'm starting to think TBS doesn't have their strike zone graphic calibrated but whatever, keep it up Blue
  8. LaStella probably gets 1 more AB at most, good start at least
  9. Cardinals just announced we will be facing Lackey on Friday
  10. Were there more HR's hit in MLB this year or did most of the predictable guys hit them and were clustered??? Or are we as a group just better at identifying Dongsmith's being exposed to our glorious team????
  11. Ryan Tannehill couldn't beat the practice squad this week and Philbin had to tell them to take it easy on him to not wreck his confidence. LOL http://deadspin.com/report-ryan-tannehill-did-not-react-well-to-getting-be-1734726493?discussion_truncation=10&utm_expid=66866090-56.xSggy8zmSwG3vMsivr7rOg.3&utm_referrer=http%3A%2F%2Fdeadspin.com%2F%3Fdiscussion_truncation%3D10
  12. So does that mean Counsell is out??
  13. Moneyline implies the Cubs should win about 55.5% of the time. Well, yeah, but that's not what betting lines are intended to do or predict
  14. It made zero sense, the only thing I can think of is since they fired the entire staff they had nobody they wanted to take over on the interim basis and just decided to let the thing crash and burn. I also think Rizzo clearly thought higher of Williams than literally anyone else and probably was hoping they could cobble together a non-dumpster fire finish so he could bring him back.
  15. I don't mind that, I would prefer just giving it to whichever team has the best overall record.
  16. Also looking at the Fangraphs pitching leaderboard, I really, really want Price next year. He's basically a left-handed Arrieta when you look at their pitch types and velos, only difference is Arrieta throws his cutter and curve more and changeup less than Price. But they are very similar in how their pitches grade.
  17. Eh, their ERA's are essentially the same right now Arrieta has more wins, IP, Ks and better FIP, xFIP, and just about everything else (WHIP, HR, etc.) and kills him in fWAR. It's between Kershaw and Arrieta for me. I think Arrieta is the guy.
