  2. I haven't seen the 2-seamer/running/comeback FB from Arrieta all year until tonight
  3. This was when twenty guys put up Bryce Harper numbers True, at least in terms of raw stuff this is on the same level 2003 prior was nearly worth 8 WAR, jesus christ Arrieta is going to be worth nearly 7, he has a sub 1 era in the 2nd half and again I was saying "stuff wise" this is on the same level. Saying better than Prior was an oversight, however.
  4. Just score 8 runs this inning like the dongsmen they are and throw CJ out there
  5. Is someone up in the pen? I have the Brewers broadcast and they haven't indicated either way

  7. Arrieta is downright historic at this point, my god is he a treat to watch
  8. ...it'll be great watching them both in the lineup at SS and 3B respectively? So Bryant moves to the OF. Is Schwarber now a C-only guy? Or is he still in the mix? What about Soler? They are awesome problems to have but decisions will definitely need to be made this offseason. I kinda want to trade Schwarber. And it has nothing to do with him being a little cold right now. I don't think him being in the OF is the best option long term, and I'm kinda bummed that if he's a catcher it means you automatically get him in the lineup significantly less than if he were playing another position. I guess I'm just not opposed to the idea of trading him for something insane. And it would have to be something insane to justify it in the first place. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuut, if he was the centerpiece in a deal to net someone like Stanton? Schwarber as a main piece in a deal for Brantley and Kluber?? That's insane and I agree, it needs to be something insane

They are awesome problems to have but decisions will definitely need to be made this offseason. Keep them all and let it be sorted out, there's plenty of ab's for everyone maybe. if you look at Castro or Baez as a SS/2B/3B sub there could be plenty of AB for each of them. At some point, though, you have to weigh if having that type of player out-weighs the return you could get via trade from a team that would use them as their everyday position player. I was kind of saying it for effect when I said "I have no idea what to do with all these amazing infielders". To highlight how good of a "problem" it is to have. Part of it genuine, for sure. NICE! Yeah it's a great problem to have and great to say facetiously. Someone laid it out nicely recently, there really isn't a problem and you can pretty easily get everyone 400+ ab's at least on the low side.
  10. What in the world, how do you let the SS call that?

  12. Maybe he's on some sort of innings/pitch limit as the season winds down?
  13. And now he throws a 2-seamer/comeback FB, dear lord I haven't seen that pitch yet
  14. That change up Arrieta just threw, my god
  15. I thought he had a broken bat HR for a second
  16. Lester will go Game 1 and Arrieta would be on short rest game 2, no? So wouldn't a bullpen game most likely be game 2? Arrieta goes game 3? Isn't the DS Schedule the Friday and Saturday after the WC game on Wednesday for games 1 and 2?
  17. Really wouldn't mind him back on a cheap deal, guessing the ship may have sailed on him being a starter again (ala Ramirez and Grimm) but he seems to be carving out a nice role as a relief pitcher for us.
  18. Folwer CF Schwarber C Bryant LF Rizzo 1B Soler RF Castro 2B Javy 3B Russell SS
  19. When are signings typically announced/done by??
  20. You should probably not send a guy out there for any taxing outings, avoid high pitch counts (especially in back to back games) and maybe skip a start or two or at least give a guy a day or two extra rest between outings. I don't think shutting anybody down is a useful idea. Agree, this is the best route. He's at 194 innings now, which is 20 more than last year but 20 fewer than 2 years ago. He only has 2 more starts left according to ESPN, just avoid ridiculous pitch counts.
  21. He wasn't supposed to be nearly this good defensively, was he?
  22. Haha, yeah. Even without the "depth" need I still really like having Jackson around for defense late in games with 2 of Schwarber/Coghlan/Soler likely starting every playoff game.
