  1. He seemed like he was intentionally not running as fast as he could to get to that ball so he could dive.
  2. Corey Patterson catches that at a light jog. #Edmondsed That seems very much like it was #Edmondsed
  3. I think if Soler was guaranteed more playing time, most of us would have went Soler. Myself, I'm relying on a injury-return-to-power. Agree, Sofa not picking him really surprised me only thing more surprising is him knowing who Corey Seagar is.
  4. Seems like a relatively diverse year for WC picks, usually seems like there's only 1 or 2 guys that the vast majority has.
  5. Tommy Pham left the game with an injury
  6. If LaStella plays does he DH with Schwarber in LF, or does he play 2B/3B with Zobrist/Bryant in LF and Schwarber at DH? I really want the Greek God of Dongs Lineup like the rest but I get starting rat boy in this game I guess.
  7. Well, it's your fault if we suck
  8. Save the Heyward story as a sub plot to the larger MS Paint story post when we win the WS
  9. He's not a SS, he's like their 5th OF. Gyorko and Greg Garcia are their SS for the time being.
  10. The Indians took Bauer out of the rotation and he's starting the year in the bullpen. I know spring training stats mean nothing but he's pitched well and reportedly added velocity so he didn't "lose" the job because of a poor spring, I wonder if they are giving up on him and what it would take to get him?
  11. With the positional flexibility of the majority of the roster and the admitted wanting to limit pitchers facing batters a 3rd time thru the order, especially Hendricks and Hammel, along with saying they want to limit Arrieta and Lester slightly more than last season, I see us carrying 13 pitchers more often than not during the season.
  12. I voted and think no, but if anyone is gonna do it it's most likely Bryant and maybe Heyward. If Bryant does Bryant things offensively and grades silly defensively (like SSR said) I could see it or if Heyward gets his usual defensive grade and taps into the offensive upside he possesses. I think we will have at least 4 6-8 WAR players, however.
  13. Folwer is hitting leadoff and Heyward is hitting second to start the year, though I'm guessing we will see some combo other than those 2 before we even get to the home opener. http://www.bleachernation.com/2016/03/30/joe-maddon-confirms-top-two-in-the-lineup-will-be-dexter-fowler-and-jason-heyward/
  14. Baez's DL time is retroactive to the 25th, FWIW
  15. I think technically a team could wait until right before their opening day game to make DL moves. Like we could literally wait until Monday in pre-game warmups in LA to decide to put Javy on the DL or not and just have like Szczur or Alcantara or whomever along with the team in case he has to go to the DL to take his spot.
  16. Low risk, potential decent reward move. He's an improvement over the garbage that's been at TE since Finley broke his neck. Yeah I like the move for them, he's an upgrade over everyone they have at TE and he's had really good games with some of the worst QB's in the league.
  17. I wouldn't be surprised if he's our primary PH this year, even with at least 1 Heyward/Fowler/Schwarber/Baez/Soler/etc. on the bench everyday.
  18. Jared Cook to the Packers
  19. Hammel said he was battling with a mechanical issue(s) all day during his start, he's been solid most of spring. I have faith he will be more than fine this year if he's healthy.
  20. Hopefully that Jeimer stock keeps getting pumped up for a mid season trade
  21. My High School of ~300 total kids had a better weight room when I was there ~10 years ago.
  22. #1: Gleyber Torres #2: Willson Contreras #3: Albert Almora #4: Ian Happ #5: Billy McKinney #6: Eloy Jimenez #7: Dylan Cease #8: Jeimer Candelario #9: Duane Underwood #10: Carl Edwards Jr.
  23. Interesting, I don't mind it. Hammel should be "easier" to catch and he also is one of the more likely guys to give up the most runs so getting more dongs in the lineup will help.
