  2. Well here we are. It's been a fun ride this season fellas
  3. 1 of those 6 is not like the other
  4. I think, they think they are really close to being good-decent. That they are closer to the first month or so of the season than they have been most of the season so I could totally see them spending like idiots this offseason and signing Trumbo, Melancon, and Ramos with his broke knee.
  5. They should just adopt the NFL scoring rule. Any walk off play is under review until proven right/wrong. Sure 99% of the time it's a formality but it would cover this horsefeathers.
  6. Just because it's right doesn't mean it isn't horsefeathering horsefeathers
  7. Guess they can make up when they want to apply the rule. I've seen plenty of challenges requested more than 30 seconds after the play was over. End of game rules are different. It has to be immediate That's horsefeathering stupid
  8. How many teams have won a World Series that tied a game during the regular season? I bet it's not a lot, we're doomed
  9. The waves will be hitting by then. Eloy will have won an MVP and Cease a TOR arm
  10. Russ is questionable isn't he?
  11. Funnier than that is them penciling in all of Syndergaard, DeGrom, Harvey, Wheeler and Matz for next year like it's not big thing
  12. Apparently it's just a monthly Yankees Spanish speaking news conference that he's going to be at. Looks like there may have been confusion since he tweeted it in Spanish/nobody really knows they Yankees do that every month.
  13. Gotta be PED suspension right? That would make sense given the nature of the impromptu-ness of it. Or who knows maybe it's something dumb like naming him a captain
  14. Apparently Gary Sanchez and the Yankees called a press conference for 3 today, no reason given. It would make no sense for a contract extension so there's some wild speculation out there.
  15. Guess you're rooting for the Dodgers to get home field over the Nats. Cubs will definitely have the earlier games if MLB can put LA in the late start. Oh, wow. I didn't even realize that was still in play. Dodgers lost tonight so the Nats have them by 2 in the loss column. Dodgers have the tie-breaker though. With how banged up the Nats are right now it's not impossible to happen.
  16. Complete buffoonery. Like maybe, maybe it would make an ounce of sense if he had Harvey or DeGrom available for the WC game. But if he uses Syndergaard Sunday it means he pitched Colon Saturday (going for wins/HF) so it's like Lugo or Gessllemen for the WC game. I'd like to see his calculus on how having one of those 2 guys pitching at home in the WC game vs Bumgarner or Martinez is more advantageous than having Thor on the road in the WC game. INSANE.
  17. What? This is the tweet they posted... And yes the fact that would even be a thought running through his head is a fireable offense [tweet] [/tweet]
  18. According to Mets Refugees Collins is "torn" on whether he'd start Syndergaard on Sunday if they had a WC clinched but not have HF for it clinched but could get it with a win. LOL
  19. Right now according to ESPN it's Cueto tomorrow (Thursday), Bumgarner Friday, Suarez Saturday, and Moore Sunday. So Bumgarner is lined up to go in the WC game, then Cueto game 1 of the DS (assuming he's healthy), with Shark or Moore (if they don't need him Sunday) game 2, Bumgarner game 3, Shark/Moore game 4, Cueto/short rest Bumgarner game 5. If Cueto's groin were to act up tomorrow we could see something like, Bumgarner in WC, Shark game 1 of DS, Suarez or Moore (if not used Sunday) game 2, Bumgarner game 3, Suarez/Banged up Cueto/Moore game 4 and Shark/banged up Cueto/short rest Bumgarner game 5.
  20. The Reds bullpen is something special
  21. Lol. They're a mid 80s win team at best for the foreseeable future with their budget and dependence on young pitching. i wouldn't be at all shocked if they bounce back next year Sure they could but it's likely what they are now is closer to what they are moving forward than anything much better. Unless their 3 young starters all with injury/other question marks stay healthy/improve and their aging superstar has a good mid-late peak career season. Which sure all are possible. I'm just not buying it.
  22. It's a spring training start. Drawing any meaningful conclusion from it is being reactionary. i wouldn't call it a spring training start. jake was probably trying pretty hard tonight. Disclaimer, I haven't watch more than a few plays tonight, but it's possible he was treating it as a ST game in terms of his pitch selection/mechanics. To try and get any last minute kinks worked out.
  23. horsefeathering seal boy 3B games in the playoffs are going to suck
