    Javy better start hitting, because I think Almora will start stealing some starts from him soon (Heyward back to RF, Zobrist to 2B).

    They are so bad. And teams finally seem to be running on Dexter's arm, something I was always surprised to see more teams not try to take extra bases on when we had him.

    "league tarnishing" is.....something I guess. I think this was my favorite part.... "I'm a season ticket holder that paid to watch a half decade of s*** games from the Cubs. Now as a handful of other teams follow suit I've got even more garbage on the schedule. The "tank hard" strategy is cool when you want to build a championship at all costs but it cheapens the product across the league. I'm actually probably more mad at MLB than Chicago that this is a growing concern, but as a consumer and taxpayer of a publicly subsidized entertainment product I am not thrilled with my money going towards watching teams that are literally trying to lose, and then hearing them brag about how great they are when they finally win."

    Unless the White Sox come down drastically on their rumored asking price (Francis Marte,Kyle Tucker and one of Musgrove/Paulino/Fischer/F.Perez/Whitley) then it's never going to happen. I think they're better off just promoting Marte at some point. If I were them I'd give up any combination of those pitchers they want because horsefeathers pitching prospects, they'll probably all die. Just get the known quantity now, especially since the Astros could be a WS team with another TOR starter.

    I was thinking we'd for sure see Almora in CF tonight with one of Schwarber/Heyward sitting and Zobrist in LF/RF vs a LHP. Guessing Joe is going with "let the guys start tonight who got us to the WS" thing.

    How do you get to a place in your life where you're watching a sporting event with the hope that you see somebody break a rule so you can snitch via telephone? Probably the same people that comment on youtube videos. Especially because they call in the most innocuous things like a ball accidentally moving 1/4 of a revolution or Tiger dropping a foot or so from where he technically should've in the fairway. It's not like they are calling in catching Judge Smails kicking his ball 20 feet forward from out of the woods to the fairway.

    Is there any sort of ETA for Eloy's return from the shoulder issue?

    Happ's blocked too don't you think? Javy's probably going to be the everyday 2B next year and Zobrist will become the utility guy. Happ could take La Stella's spot but how much playing time could Happ hope to get unless he plays in the OF. This shouldn't just be a given or expected, Javy has his warts and demons to overcome to be a clear cut starter.

    I was going to say, non jokingly, that may have been one of Heyward's 5 or 10 best hits as a Cub. Looks like the stats may confirm that.
