  1. What a trash ballot, lol [tweet] [/tweet]
  2. every team has like 6 uniforms now, and that particular Jazz design might be my favorite of the bunch 6 might be a low estimate. Seems like teams have a different color scheme and/or logo on their uniform every other game.

  4. I mean if they really do hit him, why shouldn’t the pitcher and Yadi be ejected and suspended for it? They’re clearly giving some evidence this is a planned thing when it happens.
  5. In theory he has the stuff to be a good reliever (it should even play up) but like you said the control is such a huge deal to trust a reliever with and idk if they’d be willing to give him the time and opportunity to do it. Maybe he’d agree to go to Iowa our of ST (is that allowed?) to work on converting to a RP and focuse on 2-3 pitches.
  6. The extension isn’t going to kill them but they very much are Chatwood’ing him with the logic for the extension with the road splits, spin and GB rates. Seems like both sides should’ve just played it out. He’s 30 so idk how much upside is really left from the team perspective and from his perspective even with 1 remotely good year he could exceed $30 mil (Lance Lynn just got 3/30) but I guess he never got paid before and this sets him and his family up for life and is the “safe” move. Agree they could easily finish 3rd, still don’t get what they are entirely doing trying to lock in 76-80 wins other than making the division more annoying. Speaking of Chatwood.... if Sonny Gray is worth this (4/40+ guaranteed + ~$10+ million in prospect and draft pick value) Chatwood has to at least be a little moveable with a prospect(s) attached at 2/25 or whatever it is.
  7. Reinsdorf just needed to pick up a little extra cash to afford Machado, most likely
  8. It’s been a theme on local radio here. I don’t mind being aggressive and letting the most accurate passer in NFL history try to make a play. The Saints blew several chances in that game. Mike Thomas was there for a TD on that drive and Drew didn’t see him. Yeah, it for overshadowed by the call but Brees was kinda ass all day. Part of why they probably just should’ve drained as much clock and not pass on that last drive, imo.
  9. How much times would’ve been left if the Saints didn’t stupidly pass on first and third down (yes I know the pass led to PI so it was “smart” in a way)? But if they just run 3 times and kick a FG the Rams would’ve had ~40 seconds and no TOs to try and kick a tying FG?
  10. Don’t really get the point in either side doing an extension, but okay.
  11. Whoa. Dude has been in the gym this offseason! He was MUCH skinnier this past summer. No horsefeathers. Look at the video (outside of the swing difference as noted, which is interesting and good to see in and of itself) he was skinner than Carl.
  12. Damn, he’s a big dude (in a good way) already for a 18-19 year old. Looks like he can still add some decent, good weight to his frame too. https://twitter.com/jasonpennini/status/1087408866755637249?s=21
  13. Good pick up. Will be interesting to follow through ST if it is something he’s going to do or just something he did for whatever reason in this one clip. I know he incorporates the Kershaw/Cueto hesitation thing once in a while to throw off timing since he’s gone to the stretch full time. Could be him looking to add a new thing to throw off pitch tipping/timing.
  14. That’s basically how Dierkes (spelling?) Got MLB Trade Rumors going I believe. He threw a bunch of horsefeathers out and got a thing or two right that drove traffic then just turned in to an aggregator. This would’ve been early to mid 2000’s.
  15. That’s good from 70+. Holy horsefeathers
  16. ?? Is this a physics thing? I was terrible at that stuff —— Ernst did a profile on Ademan too and there’s something I just like about his swing: He needs to bulk up to really tap into the power and hit. I’d honestly rather he do that even than stick at SS. Yeah he needs to mature physically. The promotion last year was just too aggressive, but good that they are pushing guys. He still could be something. I was listening to some prospect podcast recently (BP I think on the Cubs system) and they basically said the few times they saw Ademan last year it was like watching a middle schooler being put on a HS varsity baseball team. You could just tell he was physically overmatched but could see why he was being sent up there with his raw ability/skills. He just needs to mature.
  17. Some really good stuff in this thread.
  18. From a division perspective who’s rotation is really more safe or better? They all have age, health, experience and regression worries. If we get any sort of offense close to not August on offense and top 15 but not top 12 rotation (rough range) we will be plenty good.
  19. Doubtful 4th? They’re still the best team, the margin has been cut down but they’re still the best and if things go remotely close to plan they aren’t finishing horsefeathering third or lower.
  20. Doubtful
  21. He’s the guy who looks like a Duck Dynasty cast member
