  1. He shouldn’t be on he roster, he horsefeathering sucks. Dramatic recreation of him throwing to 1B from 3B. It makes no sense to put all this emphasis on defense only to have a midget play 3B who needs to have a relay throw to get the ball to 1B.
  2. I can’t see him taking more than a a few million guaranteed ($2.5-3.5 maybe) with incentives to take it up a few more million for all the reasons mentioned. I think he’s worth the gamble assuming the medicals aren’t horsefeathers/his stuff velo is looking where it needs to be this time of year.
  3. I don’t care where it’s going, sports teams shouldn’t get tax payer money for any reasons. And the give us money and we’ll renew the lease or else we’ll leave is such a shallow threat. They aren’t moving. If the stadium needs repair or improvements use your own horsefeathering money, Attanasio. I generally agree, but if the stadium belongs to the state, they (the landlord) should take care of it. I guess I just hate slumlords more than I hate taxpayer money going to fund properties that generate revenue. I know the Brewers' rent is a lot less than the money being invested, but their impact on the economy is pretty strong. If the stadium is that much of a positive impact and generating revenue then why does the Gov/district that owns the stadium have no money to improve it/keep it up and essentially needs a bail out? Investing in sports stadiums is often a large waste of and costly expense of tax payer dollars that loses states/cities/counties money. If the Brewers want to leave let the leave if they’re pissy about not getting handouts for their stadium. People will still spend their disposable income on other things that spur the economy. It’s not like the only option is spend money going to Brewer games or sit at home and bury your money under your mattress, there’s alternatives to spend that puts money in the economy.
  4. Seems like a misleading headline. They aren't giving the Brewers money. They are giving the district money to improve the statement and the Brewers renew their lease. I mean, I don't want brewers fans to have nice things, but it's not like this is going to payroll. I don’t care where it’s going, sports teams shouldn’t get tax payer money for any reasons. And the give us money and we’ll renew the lease or else we’ll leave is such a shallow threat. They aren’t moving. 5. What provider in the Cubs/Chicago market doesn’t have Marquee?
  6. I think that’s fairish, one of STL or Milwaukee probably breaks 90 (I’d guess STL). Think our number is fine, I think our floor of being complete horsefeathers is low and think 75 wins is the floor and there’s ~85 win upside if we hit on a lot of stuff. pirates and reds both seem high, especially with fewer division games. Both are 100+ loss teams potentially.
  7. I don’t think there’s any scenario all 4 start in Iowa. I think Madrigal and Morel are near locks to make the OD roster and Mckinstry or Mastrobuoni should make it too. I think Velazquez starts in Iowa though
  8. I think this is the year I’m back. I haven’t subscribed to anything that helped me watch games in two years. I’ve been in a doctoral program that finishes up in May, and they’ve just been uninteresting. Even the games I could watch were against the pirates with pirates broadcasters. Brutal. But maybe I’ll have more time, and maybe they’ll be watchable. We’ll see. Some interesting story lines anyway. Bellinger will never be an mvp caliber player again, but what if he returns to a 110 ops+? What if Nico takes another step forward? Will the young pitching really be a strength? Will one of Wisdom, Morel, or Madrigal take the job at third? Is David Bote still alive and who killed him? Their hope, mystery, and intrigue. Or meh. Hey, I'm willing to subscribe to something...MLB.tv...a Marquee streaming service. But what I'm not willing to do is pay a bunch of money for a live tv streaming service. I'm over paying for my tv in big groups of channels I don't watch. And since the Cubs are blacked out for me on MLB.tv (unless that's changed) and Marquee doesn't offer a streaming service that I can pay for, I'm out of luck. If you’re in market do you not get Marquee through your cable (whatever provider it may be)? Also with my experience you should be able to stream Marquee if they have an app in market for games if you have it through your provider. I’m in Wisconsin and get the Brewers Bally’s channel through my cable and I can stream on their app on my phone when I’m not home to watch games (especially when they play the cubs and MLB TV is blacked out for me).
  9. What a joke, horsefeathers the Brewers and the state if they give them a single cent.
  10. That’s not how it works, unless you can find a private person to flip that to at like +6000. Rivers will be plenty fine holding that bet through the offseason/preseason and even start of season regardless of their moves. I doubt they’d be offering any sort of buyout on that until the Bears had a high playoff probability well in to the season. Like 9-4 through week 13 or something.
  11. Attendance and viewership must be going through the roof then with basically 0 marathon games and games being shorter then, since that’s the implied goal that shorter games equals more fans of all of this by Manfred and the idiots.
  12. Yeah, to me personally this rule sucks and doesn’t make the game more fun or exciting. Where is this contingent of fans who love this and think it’s so exciting? Also wasn’t the point of this to speed up games/avoid marathon games? I feel games are lasting just as long with this/going multiple extra innings anyways.
  13. I think with the big guys there’s just always some sort of contact (whether it’s done by the big guy or a guy fouling the big guy), yes a foul is a foul, but if everything is called the game would basically come to a standstill. They can’t call everything, it’s like holding in football, they probably could call it on 80-90% of plays if they really wanted to. Is it right that not every foul is called, no, but get it somewhat.
  14. There’s 7-10 teams I like a lot more than them in the tournament. Think they’re frauds. Also Painter is a gutless choking dog. Jesus. Where exactly did the Purdue Pete touch you? I really just don’t think they’re good. No bias. Just don’t think they’re prohibitively good or a definitive 1. I like a lot more teams than them. Aware I’m maybe very wrong, but prefer a lot of other teams I’ve seen vs them and think they’re just in the cluster of like the 12-20 teams who can win it.
  15. Wisconsin? Yeah they suck too and I have always hated them. Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, California, Texas... Outside of about five teams, it's hard to argue that a team is as good as Purdue. There’s 7-10 teams I like a lot more than them in the tournament. Think they’re frauds. Also Painter is a gutless choking dog.
  16. I don’t have one, I just am an observer and follower of CBB. Meh, if you had one, I had a pretty good chance of being right. Wisconsin? Yeah they suck too and I have always hated them.
  17. Better than your team. I don’t have one, I just am an observer and follower of CBB.
  18. Purdue stinks
  19. Roenis Elías maybe? Also it almost has seem like a trade is coming and targeting a LHP RP would seem to be the target. Velazquez and Madrigal paired for something to like the As for a LHP could make sense. Both those guys seem like As.
  20. I like over 5.5 sacks combined, Yes on missed FG/XP, over 2.5 players throw a pass (both teams seem like they have some trickery and also both QBs aren’t 100%), Yes/Over Mahomes INT, Yes/Over roughing the passer calls, Yes/Over total penalties called/yards and Yes on a converted 2PT as props. Haven’t decided on the game yet. I’d lean Eagles minus the points but also Chiefs and over tease and hopefully find a middle.
