  1. Davies got like 5 balls called strikes that inning
  2. I can’t explain it but they’re just pretty good. Too many wins over too long a period. It just sucks seeing them win with a crappy run diff for their record. They do have the BP and we don’t. I guess that’s the best explanation I can come up with. Their bullpen is trash this year, it’s worse than ours this year. Even with Hader.
  3. seems pretty smart of him to me. could we even get him? no way right? He sucks, why would we want him?
  4. Happ time? Yeah he should be up, especially with Zobrist out. The roster isn’t as flexible right now. Just IL Bote since he has a broken horsefeathering toe.
  5. That was horsefeathering dumb, just IBB him and don’t waste pitches/risk a wild pitch or ball/throw Q out of sync by purposely throwing balls.
  6. Bote isn’t a major league player right now
  7. That’s horsefeathering stupid, stop trying to force action. It’s Gio horsefeathering Gonzalez, he’s going to pitch himself in to trouble
  8. I think that’s him in between Davis and Almora, there’s someone in between them.
  9. They’re all gonna be hungover for this game
  10. He’s a bad, unrepentant person. I also think he’s just really, really stupid. Like he’s an abject moron with low IQ.
  11. Looks like the same dude he has been - can get Ks but isn’t particularly good at anything else Well, he is getting ground outs at a 55% clip in his small 2019 sample. The year before he got em 52.4% of the time. That pretty good. The walk rate this season is way off from his previous seasons mostly due to that one game, so hopefully that evens out. Previous two seasons he walked guys at a 6-7% clip. That's a pretty good rate. Batters are hitting .222 against him this year and .255 last year with higher than average BABIPs. That's not great but it was average last year and above average so far this season. I wouldn't say he's been dominant in any phase, but over the course of his career thus far, the numbers show he's been above average at not allowing earned runs, getting Ks, getting outs on the ground and not walking people and slightly above average at not allowing hits. To me that's the basic gist of what a pitcher is supposed to be. What are you seeing? (Looking to learn something here, not sarcastic.) He’s also a 19/20 year old lefty who throws horsefeathering upper 90s and has hit triple digits
  12. I have never, and never will, acted even as remotely cool as this doing ANYTHING. Dramatic recreation of Sofa doing that slide
  13. Bote is broken as horsefeathers. Wonder if that broken toe is affecting him
  14. IL Yu, let him hit a reset button for ~2 weeks and give Monty his next 1-2 starts.
  15. This is an awful use of Descalso, Joe you horsefeathers
  16. Un horsefeathering acceptable Yu, my god. IL him and send him to the pitching lab to work on mechanics or something.
  17. Not entirely true, but mostly true. They have off before every series except 1 and they play in Oakland the day before having to come to Wrigley the next day to play in August.
  18. Javy is growing with his plate discipline
  19. Will Smith or Joe Jimenez please, if the Giants and Tigers are scouring our system, no thanks on Shane Greene. Good to hear we are seemingly already looking to make moves. Also keep sucking As and Nats so maybe Treinen and Doolittle become available.
  20. There’s an off day Monday, wouldn’t be surprised if we see Javy get an off day Tuesday in Cincy as a double dip of rest.
