Fine - How about Schwarber's actual 2018 production of .238/.356/.467? Considering most of Burnitz's best seasons came during the juiced ball era, that Schwarber line from last year is more than comparable. He's also rating as an above average defender again, no matter how many times you try to claim that he's best served as a DH. Oh, but I'm sorry. Go ahead and keep banging your head against this one. In case you haven't noticed we're in the juiciest of the juice ball eras right now. The ball wasn’t juiced last year I’m pretty sure. Burnitz played in the juiciest of juiced players era.

We’re gonna sweep them this weekend. They’re not this good and need to drop down a bit and we’re due for something like that. The thing that worries me is that the SP was supposed to be at least average, possibly a strength and its been like bottom 5 in the league so far. Their offense though has been completely unsustainable of course. If the SP improves and the offense regresses they should still be pretty good. I could totally see us sweeping them this weekend and never looking back too. I know it’s been bad but I think their pitching is going closer to how I expected vs some of the more positive projections. I think there’s some major flaws in their pitching and downside than others I think.

It’s too bad Bote and Javy went to horsefeathers last inning on defense because Hamels has good stuff tonight but that inning threw his PC out of whack and he probably only has 1 more inning in him.

Just leave him in AAA unless Javy were to get hurt. Bote can handle SS in an emergency and for 5-10 games to give Javy rest. -

I think he's back to more in line with what he's been his whole career outside of with us last year. He's still going to have some blowups when the contact isn't managed but he appears to look like he can at least be serviceable more times than not this year. It would be nice if Cedeno, Carl and Morrow can get up here at some point so he's closer to like our 5-6th relief option and not like top 3.
