He hurt his back/hip making a diving play in RF last night. Awesome we keep playing games with 1-3 guys down a night for injuries and not using the 10-day IL.

Good news is we have an off day every week in July + ASB and 3 off days in the 4 weeks of August. They gave like nobody off days in September this year (we have 2 nobody else in the division has more than 3).

Already happened per Len I think that was just Joe’s annual midseason team meeting unless I missed something Yeah it was like his annual “State of the Team” type thing he does every year going in to the break/half way point.

We were 5-20 going in to the break in 2016, I believe. Which is somehow worse than 2017 or even where we are so far this year. Holy horsefeathers, is that true? We were 5-15 going in to the break. I just checked, I thought I remember seeing 5-20 on twitter, but that’s wrong. Or it was meant to be won 5 of 20.

Nah we were playing just as bad right before the break in 2017 We were 5-20 going in to the break in 2016, I believe. Which is somehow worse than 2017 or even where we are so far this year.

Liriano is just as bad or worse as those guys Seems like he’s having a good season statistically. He’s certainly pitching better than the crap the Cubs are throwing out there. His FIP and xFIP are in the 4s and 5s and have been every year since 2015 and his ERA has been there too except this year. He’s very mediocre like Monty and the rest.
