The Cardinals are going to hit a hard part of the schedule. Not that we are any good but they are going to have a rough stretch. We'll be back in first by 3-5 games by next Sunday most likely

Theo definitely has plenty of blame for the construction, but yeah Joe has often played the cards poorly that he’s been dealt. He’s made it harder to win and harder for guys to succeed with the roles, situations and decisions he’s chosen on using pen guys. Sure blow ups will happen and guys are gonna falter, especially because we don’t have a great pen but he’s also not optimizing usage quite often.

I get that those hitters have their weak sides but Kintzler has been absolute nails against LHB so I think the move was fine. He just couldnt come close enough to the plate to elicit a swing once he got 2 strikes.That’s still sub optimal. The hitters are worse vs lefties than righties and Ryan is neutral. Kintzler also doesn’t “get swings.” And we put in a worse defender at 3B for no reason when we brought in contact/GB guys. This whole thing is on Joe tonight. Kintzler was fresh off the IL for this and was brought in to a mess, Joe fucked it up.

Bote sucks at 3B, Marte, Bell and Moran are all worse vs lefties. Joe horsefeathers his pants that inning, my god.

Yeah, Joe has to go. Actively managed that game to a loss with sub optimal decisions.

Doesn’t matter, his stuff is clearly a tick down. Velo is down, location and command is a mess. I'm not saying he's good, but I'm sensitive to SSS after the nightmare that was Edith Cox This is clearly an eye test thing over stats. His stuff sucks and the velo is down. He isn’t topping 91 and the command/location is all over the place.

He threw 5 inning, 0 ER in his first start off the IL Doesn’t matter, his stuff is clearly a tick down. Velo is down, location and command is a mess.

HATE! HATE! HATE! He isn't even a good fielder. He's at -3 DRS this year, which is 8th best for CF'ers with at least 700 innings (he's at 708), if you take it down to 500 innings he's 17th best. If you go back to 2016, since he's been in the league, he's at +5 DRS which is 20th best in MLB over that span of guys who have played 2,000 innings (he's at 2,400).

They were in on both those FA, but the price got too much for them to afford. They tried to trade for many of those guys who got traded but were being help up for better prospects. Reports are the Mets wanted the #2 and #16 overall prospects for Thor, and the Jays wanted one of the other for Stroman and took the Mets offer without any Top-100 guys without calling back to get one of the Twins other 3 Top-100 guys. Right, so they half measured it because they weren’t willing to pay up.

Yadi probably threatens all the young guys that they need to talk him up any chance they can to heighten his sense of value and mystique.

They don’t deserve to make the playoffs with their half measures deadline ' What did you want them to add? A SP of some kind, Greinke, Wheeler, Stroman, Thor, etc or sign Kuechel earlier and a better bullpen arm or two or again go and sign Kimbrel earlier in the year. They did less than the bare minimum and added like 3 castoffs.

His last 7 starts before tonight he had a .96 ERA, low 2 FIP, low 3 xFIP, 34% K rate, 7% BB rate, and 19 hits in 38 innings. Find a new slant jack ass.
