The Cubs and Nats, as a team, have pretty much identical offensive numbers. Nats are at a .263/.340/.453 slash line, .334 wOBA, 102 wRC+, 9% BB rate, 21% K rate, Cubs are at .253/.332/.451, .329 wOBA, 100 wRC+, 9% BB rate, 23% K rate. The only thing they do drastically different is steal bases. They are still better than everything the Cubs do, and then like you pointed out, can also steal bases. And also score more runs without needing dongs, as they rank 14th in that category and the Cubs fifth. It’s a nominal difference, like the .010 BA margin is less than 1 extra hit a game by them. Also would be interesting to see where their overall numbers were 2 weeks ago before they went on this like 120 runs in 12 games binge.
