  1. My order of those options is: Gore (if active) Fargas Holmes Not sure if he's available in your league and he usually sucks, but Warrick Dunn may be a good option this week with Norwood likely out -- Dunn ran well against Carolina the first time he played against them this year.
  2. I don't get the Kirk love -- IMO he's not a difference maker.
  3. Offer 1 seems like a better deal for you. Julius Jones is garbage. Reggie Bush did well even on a bad offensive day for the Saints and the downgrade from TJ to Calvin Johnson may not be that much -- especially once Chris Henry returns after week 8 and takes away a few targets.
  4. I'll go ahead and touch on the hitting: #6 among all third basemen in HRs, #7 in RBI, #5 in OPS and all that with time missed on the DL. Barry Rozner has crap for brains.
  5. Firefox -- got about 10-15 minutes ago and was able to purchase 4 bleacher seats to game 3.
  6. The votes have been counted, and the ball will be branded! Link
  7. I like what I've seen from Bowe, but Berrian is a much better choice -- especially against Detroit.
  8. Weird -- you can't say f-u-l-l-b-a-c-k ?
  9. Fullback. Occasionally sweeper or stopper. Nothing better than shutting out the opposition.
  10. Lou probably wants the lefty pitcher in to pitch to all these lefties the Pirates have at the top of their order. I understand that, but Hart was effective and could have given another inning or two. I think it was a good move. Lou's managing this like a playoff game. Taking out an effective pitcher for Scott Eyre is not how a playoff game should be managed. hasn't his ERA been something ridiculously good in the second half? Yes - not including today's outing, he's posted a 0.95 ERA since the break.
  11. stu·pid /ˈstupɪd, ˈstyu‑/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[stoo-pid, styoo‑] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation adjective, -er, -est, noun –adjective 1. lacking ordinary quickness and keenness of mind; dull. 2. characterized by or proceeding from mental dullness; foolish; senseless: a stupid question. 3. tediously dull, esp. due to lack of meaning or sense; inane; pointless: a stupid party. 4. annoying or irritating; troublesome: Turn off that stupid radio. 5. in a state of stupor; stupefied: stupid from fatigue. 6. Slang. excellent; terrific. –noun 7. this thread on nsbb: viewtopic.php?t=44233 No - its not interesting at all.
  12. Romo over Favre Kitna over Delhomme (even though he's my starter this week) McNabb just barely over Brees (I still need to see something positive from the Saints before starting Brees)
  13. I would just hope you have studs at other positions -- that is one ugly set of running backs! Thomas Jones and Edge (even against the Ravens) are really the only options to go with. Everyone else is a big question mark on # of touches -- when in doubt, go with guys you know will at least touch the ball 20+ times a game and hope for the best.
  14. Fashion designer Marc Ecko bought #756 and has a web site up to collect votes on what should be done with it. Read more here. Vote here.
  15. I would probably go with Marshawn Lynch (though he was sick and didn't practice today so you'll want to make sure its nothing too serious). Both Green and Norwood will likely split carries more so than Lynch. I hate to say it, but the Green Bay D may be the real deal this year. I'd definitely start them with Manning out, and maybe would even have favored them with a healthy Eli under center.
  16. I knew he'd improved a bit since a dismal first half, but I was shocked when I checked the team ERA #s post-AS break... Scott Eyre leads all pitchers on the Cubs staff with a 1.08 ERA. Granted, its a small sample size (16 2/3 IP), but props to Eyre for turning things around. I pretty much wrote him off for the year, but he may prove to have some value out of the pen in these last couple of weeks.
  17. You should get good production out of your WRs/RBs -- your QB situation may be sketchy if VY does not live up to expectations or suffers from the Madden curse. Good luck in your league.
  18. I definitely feel the whole system is highly flawed. DVR has ruined what little meaning ratings ever had Not really -- if you record something on your DVR the cable company has a much more accurate read on # of households "tuning" in to a program.
  19. Nope - that's perfect -- thanks salukifudd!
  20. Honestly, with only 8 teams and the #1 pick (since you have LT) I would have expected a much better roster. Good luck though -- LT will carry you far. My starting backfield last year was LT (picked #2 overall) and Gore (4th rd pick) and I needed very little else to win my league.
  21. So work blocks access to most FF sites in the foolhardy attempt to increase productivity and I need to prep for my big money auction draft tomorrow night. Could someone post 2007 auction values to this thread? I know fftoday.com and fftoolbox.com both have links to typical auction values/results. Thanks in advance.
  22. I honestly don't understand why you would waste roster spots on 2 backup QBs when you have Peyton as your #1 and I'll repeat from another thread my belief that there is never a good reason to draft a second kicker. I think your RBs and WRs are a bit weak and those draft picks could have been better spent adding depth to those more critical areas. BTW - just my opinion, but I would definitely have taken Willie Parker, then Westbrook (only lower than Willie because of injury-risk) ahead of Rudi.
  23. Demp to the rotation seems to be plausible. I'd prefer Demp to the trading block -- his save percentage this year should boost his value to other teams. Get something for him and move late innings to Marmol/Howry/Wuertz and possibly Wood (I would like to see him back for a low base/incentives deal).
  24. Yeah...a lot of that was based on LJ holding out. His hold out will actually benefit him as he won't be taking much of a beating in the preseason. They are both going to have outstanding years and you can't go wrong with either. When in doubt, go with the guy on the better offense -- Steven Jackson is setup to have an outstanding year. I actually really worry about guys who hold out -- while its true they don't get beat up in pre-season, they also may not be in game shape by week 1 and that could lead to an injury. IMO when players deviate from the routines that brought them past success, it does not usually end up helping them.
