  1. right, implants are a bad thing now? implants are horrible. I can't stand them. You've either never experienced them "in real life" or the ones you encountered were a botched job. I am shocked and dismayed that the fake Cardinal girl with the deceptive bust is winning. A) we should take points away from her for NOT being a cardinals fan? B) deceptive bust? I don't see anyone commenting on it, in particular C) Breasts that look plastic are bad. For me, the real deciding factor was that the German girl looked like more fun, miss implants embodies the worst stereotypes of attractive women. Yes, all based on stereotypes, but they're a couple of picctures.
  2. why on earth is mr "I'm trying to get my slg to double my obp" hitting leadoff?
  3. this LF ball"boy" is painful to watch
  4. Either this ump actually adjusts for the height of the hitter (making him the only one ever) or he's really inconsistent
  5. Fixed. pitchers being able to get a bunt down is important. And I guarantee you that you guys complain about it more than the problem is. I see no proof that our pitchers are worse than any other national league team's pitchers at laying down a bunt. Who cares about what the rest of the league is doing? I want our pitchers to be able to do something at the plate. Because you might be expecting something that is impossible? You can't expect our pitchers to lay down every bunt perfectly. There is far more important things to worry about on our team than how well our pitchers are bunting. It's impossible to lay down a bunt? In my opinion, bunting is one of the easiest aspects of the game. All it takes is a little practice. I'm not expecting every pitcher to be able to lay a perfect bunt down every time, but it seems like nearly every time we need a bunt, they foul the first two off and K. It's not an unimportant aspect of the game, and you thinking so is pretty ridiculous. While I'm quite sure I'd never be able to hit better than "really, really badly" at the ML level, I'd love to spend a week practicing against major league pitchers trying to master bunting. that's the one thing I just can't believe is as hard as it seems
  6. Since I missed the first 2 innings, has the ump been calling that gigantic outside corner all day?
  7. He clearly didn't spend much time working on his bat skills while in the AL
  8. Have we seen jones bunt against a LHer this season? The infield isn't playing him in on situations like that, is it?
  9. Watching Jones hit, it's amazing he's hitting as well as he is rececntly. Oh wait, this is a lefty! ](*,)
  10. implants=cubs girl loses. She was quite hot when she was live on television.
  11. I'm completely opposite. I much prefer fiction to non-fiction. Because I don't want to list a huge number of book categories, I'll leave it just with the two options...and one for a middle ground. Which do you prefer most of the time? more women than men prefer fiction does not mean more men prefer non-fiction to fiction. Though I wouldn't be surprised if they do. Mostly fiction reader here.
  12. so lou being interviewed now, sounds like he will be using monroe in "all three oufield positions" and says it's good because we will be facing a lot of lefties soon.
  13. I wonder how much money this guy has cost the legal system
  14. $42 trillion is a hefty fine
  15. Since when was a 334 BABIP on a 20.1 LD% really high? .013 above expected BABIP? Thats nothing. His BABIP is 256 this year on a 17.4 LD%. Thats .038 points below expected, or 3x as unluck as he was in 2006. In 2005 he had a 286 BABIP on a 20.7 LD%. Thats .031 below expected. Is Dye as good as his 2006 campaign? No, but hes better than he was in 2005 and better than hes been this year (especially because hes had to deal with injuries. He has a 20.6M MORP for 2008-2009. The Sox were hoping to have 4 serviceable, cheap OF options for 2008 with Anderson, Sweeney, Owens, and Fields (until he takes over for Crede in 2009). Of those Fields is the only one whos been anything close to adequate (only trails Konerko, Thome, and Dye in OPS). With no adequate internal options, no options on the FA market for the $ or years, and PR, I don't see how this is nothing short of a really good move by the whitesox. .334 is high when you have a career average of .297 over 5900 PAs and have only had a similarly high BABIP once, 5 or so years ago. Maybe he became a significantly better batter in terms of core skills at age 32 and this is just a fluke. I don't know, I don't watch the Sox. Maybe I'm way off base. Still, aside from last year and 2003 (a terrible injury year) he's been pretty average this decade. Not bad average, but $11 million average?
  16. The site I got that from also had some pics from her low rent lingerie/nude modeling career. The tat is pretty much to scale. They really are that ridiculously huge. The improbable thing there has to be the waist:hip/shoulder ratio. that's way under 2:3
  17. My father had his proposal to my mother rejected because it was done so badly. She said yes eventually, but not that night. Yep, the old fashioned way is doing it right after she tells you it turned blue.
  18. why would you sign a guy who was an average player through his prime years to $11 million a year coming off a bad year after a really high babip (if quite good, though it was his only good year of the decade) year?
  19. i thought it was about 10 (or 1 win)? I think that's the difference between a bad lineup and a good lineup, instead of the worst lineup vs a good lineup.
  20. Truly our fiercest rivals
  21. I don't ever recall getting the sense that people here believed Jones was 'done'. They just thought he wasn't worth the money. One major difference between the two is that our GM didn't trade one of our best hitters for a below-average leadoff hitter and trumpet it as a smart move. Also, Dye's numbers beat the hell out of Jones (last season)
  22. To be charitable, I'll say that ward looks rusty in the field
  23. kendall needs to stop trying to throw people out
