  1. I prefer to listen to Len and JD. You mean you don't want to listen to Bob Costas wax poetically about the Best Fans in Baseball and ESPN dissect every movement by Castro in a negative light?
  2. Thoughts on spot starting somebody (Wood/Jackson/anybody fresh in AA/AAA?) on Thursday and throwing Lester/Arrieta/Hammel at the Cardinals all with an extra day of rest? That lines all of them up to also face the Cardinals just before the ASB, so you wouldn't even lose a start from any of them before the break. Edit: Hammel would be on normal rest
  3. Please win. Preparing myself for 2 K and a Rizzo fly out to the wall.
  4. It seems like he unleashes on fastballs in fastball counts, but is often well behind them. He's obviously sitting dead red but missing late. Kind of odd.
  5. Close, but that is not a strike in the top half
  6. Montero taking ball 4 there would have been really nice.
  7. why would this one game do that? Because apparently it's nigh-impossible for a good baseball team to beat two really good starting pitchers back to back. Nope
  8. why would this one game do that? It's not just this one game. It's the culmination of getting later in the season, being in a really good position record-wise in relation to the rest of the league, being on a nice little winning streak and beating two really good pitchers on a pretty good team back-to-back days. I'm just pointing out that we're kind of at the highest point we've been in quite awhile.
  9. So if they beat Greinke today is this the most excited we will have been since the 2008 postseason?
  10. Haha. People finding things to argue about after a game like tonight.
  11. What a fun game! Hope Fowler is ok. Doubt Wada is.
  12. And if we win today, the NL Central will have the three best records in the NL. Just realized the Pirates don't play today, but your statement still stands.
  13. Win today and the Pirates lose and Cubs have second best record in NL.
  14. Does Bob Saget remind anybody else of Chip Caray?
  15. Fowler, stop swinging at outside pitches.
  16. Arrieta looking good. Pitch count medium.
