  1. I don't think the crowd is going to be too loud for Tony to be able to communicate with his bullpen coach now...
  2. Leave Holland in until the Cardinals figure him out or you need to pinch-hit for him.
  3. Cardinals are playing horribly tonight and Lewis pitched really well. This game should be a blowout.
  4. Anyone else have a kid who loves "1877kars4kids" because of WGN radio broadcasts? She gets so angry if I mute that. Lol I don't do the radio, my daughter is big friends in her mind with Eric Hosmer and Mike Moustakas as they have signed many items for her and given her high fives. My buddies love seeing her stuff, they always ask her who her favorite Royal is. She always says King Lion, referring to Slugger. Kids are something else. I like Hosmer too... He's a cool dude, wish he was a Cub. Kid can rake. By the way, seats next season are in 142!

  7. Haha, no you're not. My wife gets mad at me for being a grinch. I guess she gets a jeans day at work or some dumb [expletive] like that if they win it all. Wife doesn't understand how I can be so passionately against another team. Some crap about how I should be happy if the Cardinals win because most of the people we know are Cardinals fans. My wife is a Cardinal fan from St. Louis. Her dad thinks he's gonna dress my son up in Cardinal gear. I told him I'd smack the crap out of him if he did that to my kid, I wasn't joking. Same here. I told them if they ever buy my kids Cardinals gear that I will burn the stuff and send them the video and not to waste their money. Her sister thinks it's hilarious and she's going to do it when we have kids. I told her she'll lose babysitting privileges. That part is a joke, but my wonderful mother bought us some baby Cubs clothes the first Christmas after we got engaged. Still no kids, but the in-laws know I'm serious.
  8. Another inning where they let them off the hook. At least the Rangers got a run and basically got to skip the bottom third of their order (although that included Napoli).

  10. Yep. Really wish Lewis had showed up tonight to shut the Cardinals down, too.
  11. So, when do the Rangers really stick it to the Cardinals for all these mistakes?
  12. Cardinals have done NOTHING this inning. Imagine that.
  13. I thought it might be broken after that first replay. Hopefully that doesn't affect him much.
  14. I'll just list my favorite milestones/games/etc. Witnessed: Sosa's last HR as a Cub (franchise record) Griffey, Jr. 500 HR Favre breaking career passing yardage record Furcal unassisted triple play Maddux 3000 K Packers clinch division Storm the court (Mizzou over kU) Storm the field/Gameday (Mizzou over #1 OU) Walkoff grand-slam (Soriano in August 09 vs. Astros/Aaron Miles vs. ???? as a Cardinal) I enjoyed Soriano's much more. Rookie hitting HR in first MLB AB (two dudes for the Cardinals back in the old stadium) What I want to see: Packers play at Lambeau No-hitter Cubs clinch division/wild card spot Cubs playoff game at Wrigley NHL postseason game NFL postseason game Mizzou in a BCS Bowl or Conference Championship Mizzou in a NCAA Tournament game or Conference Championship Be in Wrigleyville when the Cubs win pennant and/or World Series Be in Green Bay when Packers win a Super Bowl World Series game (may actually pull this one off tomorrow) Every MLB stadium (14 of 30 completed, 15 of 31 if you count old Busch) Weird occurrences: I've seen two games where the first batter of the game for the visiting team got a basehit and the visiting team ended with just that one hit. My first game at Wrigley (Steve Trachsel vs. Astros in 1996) and a Tulsa Drillers MiLB game.
  15. He ain't gonna come out for an interviews. Wednesday potentially could be Pujols' last game with St Louis ever! Sadly, there have been many times this season that I thought it could be his last home game with St. Louis.
  16. Now I can relax for a couple of days and enjoy the press conference tomorrow.
  17. You act like he has 13 pitchers on his staff. Are you serious? You have got to be kidding me! My WIFE is asking me why he did that.
  18. [expletive], I forgot about that. That belongs in the Theo celebration thread. Garza rules. I love that!
  19. NAP-O-LI! Please deliver!
  20. It's possible this is the first time he's even in town through all of this. The meetings with the Cubs brass reportedly happened in NY. Hmm, I did not know that. That said, I think he has seen the offices based on him being in town a few weekends ago. And I can't wait to hear Kaplan ask this: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_aSK0nu4EOEg/SJ9CDBB163I/AAAAAAAAAYY/EZHDcp0CvCw/s320/Picture+1.png "So, Theo, welcome to Chicago! Was that really you at Starbucks and what did you order'? My wife and I saw Ronny Cedeno at a Starbucks in Bradenton, FL after a ST game this season. He ordered a venti caramel frappuccino.
  21. Yeah yeah, and one of the truly abysmal teams in the league just played you guys to within a touchdown! :) I think there is definitely a chance we'll meet again in the NFC Champ. Certainly matched up very well when we played each other. The Vikings have been in every game except the Bears game. So you did just as well as everyone else. Give them the trophy now. Clearly stated earlier that the Saints are a major hurdle for the Packers and that they have a great O-line. Also, just stated a fact about the Vikings. Never said anything about crowning the Packers. Winning 3 (or 4) straight games against good opponents is never easy for any team.
