Also, with MLB.tv if you want to remove a credit card/debit card from your account you have to call them. You cannot delete it online. A few years ago when I wanted to remove the auto-renewal I also wanted to delete all my payment profiles, so they wouldn't have anything to charge. That only took like 3 phone calls to complete...

Remember when Javy hit that warning track fly off that filthy Chapman pitch when it would've been like a game winning three run homer or something? I told my wife before that series that my dream scenario was to see Javy make solid contact on a high 100+ pitch from Chapman and see how far it goes. I have probably never been so excited for a Cubs flyout as I was for that one as the dream scenario was so close to coming true.

I think the idea is that if the season is shortened the playoffs will be expanded and the contracts from expanded playoff TV contracts will make up for it. But would it? As has been said already it's a regional sport. I don't think baseball's problems are regular season viewership but postseason viewership.

If they cut 8 games off I don't think they should change the length of the calendar from from Opening Day to Playoffs, but they should just have 8 extra off days back loaded in the schedule so it's easier to get in all of the makeup games without having some of the ridiculous 23 games in 22 days type situations.

Anybody know if there is going to be an individual game tickets presale for season ticket holders? Am I imagining that this happened in the past because it doesn't look like it is happening this year.

I don't think Miller is so bad. I get the feeling that it is like Chase Field (which I hated) but done a whole lot better. It's nothing special, but they do a pretty good job of getting the field in the sun during a day game and almost the entire stands in the shade. That's not easy.

I grew up there. Did they renovate it or something because that place has been there for like 25 years and there wasn't a whole lot that was very special about it when I was a kid. They did renovate it, but that was actually after I was there. I just felt it had the real, classic ST experience. Last professional baseball stadium without lights in US. Players have to walk through the concourse to get to the batting cages. You are right on top of the players. The area itself wasn't that great, but the park was a throwback for sure.

The Pirates Spring Training stadium in Bradenton (McKechnie Field) is a must if you ever do a FL spring training trip.

Even if I'm a weird shark" I hope this turns out to be true. Great way to blow a title. That can't be true. Besides Lynch isn't showing any angst over the play call and it not being him. At 30 seconds, Pete Carroll couldn't possibly calculate all of that in his head while calling the play of the season at the same [expletive] time. He felt the play was the best choice to win. Period. Especially since he called his number on the play before and he got it to the 1.

Whoever called the play (Carroll/OC/Wilson audible, whatever) out thought himself. You've got 1-3 plays left so you line up and you go with your best shot. If that doesn't work, oh well. But you have to go with your best option, which was running the ball in some way with either Lynch or Wilson. I have less problem with the play call than I do with the execution. Wilson shouldn't force that throw. I'm in this camp. Based on TO and clock I'm fine with a pass selection, but your QB has to know not to force it. An incomplete pass in that situation is ok. Just don't take a sack and don't turn it over. If someone gets open for the score that's a bonus.

Patriots never bothered me. Don't care if they bend the rules with footballs and cameras. They got caught. It's funny. If the NFL doesn't do anything about it, then why stop trying to find ways to get around the rules? If the NFL were the MLB everybody would hate the Seahawks because of the number of juicers they've had. I hate the Seahawks. I have for awhile. And I don't think they're some juggernaut like everybody says. They have not beaten a real playoff team with a real QB since like Week 4. Well, that is until the Packers decided to give them a free Super Bowl appearance by doing everything the exact opposite of how you should do it, and then it still took a few balls bouncing the Seahawks way. If you can't tell I have about zero motivation to watch this Super Bowl.

Since his right foot is off the ground when the pitcher actually starts it's really close. But that's almost impossible for the new CF umpire who is in charge of making sure everyone is in position before the pitch to see." 1 - "This game is too complicated! This sucks!"

I think enforcing just that one rule would make a world of a difference. if you tell players who are accustomed to taking all the time in the world between pitches that this is the new rule, i really think they'll just stand there with one foot in the box for fifteen seconds or whatever. Some would take their time just to be annoying, but I honestly think before the first season was over the number of players that would be ridiculous would be very small. Give the umpires power to give a player one warning per game and then start calling strikes on the batter at their discretion. In no time we'd have 2-hour games.

If I were dictator of the baseball world. Once your AB starts you don't leave the batters box until it's over. Exception: umpire grants time. However, you make the umps allow timeouts sparingly. I want them to at least try this before adding a pitch clock. Really hate the idea of forcing a pitcher to face 2 batters. Leave it alone. Let the teams shift however they want. Cut 2 inches off the bottom of the strike zone. No DH in both leagues. Or DH in both leagues. 2 divisions in each league. 4 WC in each league. 3-game WC series played in 2 days (Tuesday night 1 game, Wednesday DH if needed) in top seeds park. Yeah, it's crazy, but think about it. In 1 day 4 teams would get eliminated and 4 more would advance. For one day over 25% of the league would have the potential of being eliminated. Dramatic realignment with more focus on regional rivalries than league rivalries. Still find a way to make both leagues coast-to-coast (or close to it). Widespread interleague play. Not all of this is feasible. Just living in dreamland.
