  1. LOL...he hit that ball about 3 feet.
  2. It's bound to happen eventually. Why not today? Our offense has already taken the rest of the day off after the offensive explosion in the 8th. Plus, I'm watching and they lose every time I watch.
  3. I suppose the Cubs could win a one run game, in extra innings, on the road...but I'm not holding my breath waiting for it.
  4. No kidding. We couldn't score off this guy if he threw 600 pitches.
  5. I remember when Lee used to hit home runs.
  6. We had a chance until Lou decided to pull Hill after 69 pitches in the 6th. I didn't see the first part of the game. Why was Hill pulled so soon?
  7. I'd almost bet there are no extra innings today.
  8. I'm surprised Lou didn't have Floyd bunting.
  9. Or hit. He could hit better than some people in our lineup. (Izturis)
  10. If? What other possibility is there?
  11. Well that did not take long. Thanks Lou.
  12. No problem. Plenty of runs for our bullpen. [/sarcasm]
  13. Why is ARAM not playing? Hopefully just a day off?
  14. WOW, I see our offense is right on track today.
  15. Interesting Article Ballplayer's father faces an uphill fight I think that's going to be difficult to prove. The bolded part seems pretty weak too.
  16. Jose Guzman was the other pitcher signed to replace Maddux. And if I remmeber it right he had a spectacular debut. And nothing after that!
  17. Any GM paying the kind of money Soriano is making to be a leadoff hitter is insane. Money like that is power and RBI money. We want to spend that kind of money we need some production out of it. Sure he is and will continue to be a good leafoff guy. We've had much worse but as others have mentioned it's a waste of resources. Now subtract Jones from the lineup and insert Cabrera and I might change my mind.
  18. Well, no need to watch Cy Young pitch for the Dodgers the rest of the afternoon. Yard work is more entertaining. :?
