    I still don't love Nashon Wright, but he has played his way into being a good CB3 or a passable CB2. He's going to get a multi year deal after this season somewhere.

    Based on what we've heard it sure sounds like the money is going to the SP and the pen. There has been very little linking bats to the Cubs out of the platoon/bench variety.

    The Cubs really do hate velocity. Maton is a fine 7th inning guy but we're now at the point that I just don’t think it's financially possible to address SP, a bat upgrade and a premium even if 1 of the 3 is done via trade.

    There's absolutely no way after all the talking about pitching that Hoyer is going to bring back the exact same rotation in 2026. Will it be a true front line? That I don't know, but I feel quite confident they're adding at least another mid rotation arm.

    Like there has to be legit concerns he remains a starter or even continues to pitch for them to give up 4 years for a pretty mediocre outfielder

    I never understood the fascination with JJ. There were games where even Harbaugh didn't trust him and just ran the ball continuously. What other QB goes in the top 15 and has their college coach basically take the game out of their hands at times?

    It's not about being a defenseless receiver, it's that a defender can not lead with their head.

    I believe they're going to have 9 official drops according to that stat in the last two weeks, but that stat only takes into account the most ridiculously catchable balls being dropped. It's probably closer to 15.
