  1. I don't know that the Cubs have to be buyers. It's not like they're an old group like the Dodgers. This is year one of the window being open with the better part of a decade to get the job done. Using up all the resources for rentals in year one of that window is a waste.
  2. So MLB brings in 10s of billions of dollars, how is it possible they still can't get proper camera angles? They should be able to 360 panorama just about anything.
  3. They didn't use their challenge in the 9th. You can only challenge until the 7th is over. After that it's all up to the umpires. Managers can only suggest they review after the 7th inning.
  4. Jesus, is there anyone in the Royal bullpen who isn't amazing?
  5. If you have so little faith that your player can even put a bat on the ball that you have to bunt in that situation, then he simply should not be on your roster.
  6. Well that's about as awful as it gets. That's pretty much game over against this bullpen.
  7. There are probably a dozen to fifteen names I would be OK with the Cubs picking and Daz just isn't one of them.
  8. I see no reason we should be giving up valuable chips for short terms solutions. If you're going to give up prospects then get someone who is going to be here for a few years.
  9. Opening up play time for Alex Guerrero at 3rd.
  10. No to Latos, but I'd do all those trades. Does Gallardo really belong in that lot? Yeah, this hasn't been his best season so far, but how much of that has to do with Arlington and the AL? Gallardo stopped being good a few years ago. 2012: 3.94FIP, 2013: 3.89FIP, 2014: 3.94FIP. His K rate has gone from 9.00 to 6.04 over the last few years as well. I'd say Kazmir,Iwakuma and a healthy Latos are substantially better pitchers.
  11. Pretty much. Baez is making some really nice strides in AAA right now. 2014AAA: 7.8BB%,30.0K%,.833OPS,62.9% contact rate 2015AAA: 9.1BB%,24.2K%,.944OPS,68.9% contact rate If he can get that contact rate up to the 72% range, he's looking pretty damn good going forward.
  12. 38,149. Doesn't look like 2016 is going to happen. :(
  13. They already blew 5M on Motte, I'd prefer they not do the same on Soriano who was absolutely terrible the last half of 2015.
  14. While Keith Law's beloved Michael Conforto sits in A+ with an .809OPS.
  15. Hopefully this is the reason behind what we've seen so far. I had high hopes for him.
  16. Gray is pretty much the absolute best case scenario. I'd much rather have him instead of Hamels, Cueto, or even Strasburg.
  17. So apparently we're going to run every [expletive] pitcher out in one inning
  18. I would so much have rather seen Edwin come out for the 8th today.
