  1. This ump is giving several inches on both sides.
  2. This outing should be so much worse. Taillon keeps getting bailed out.
  3. Seriously, what does Madrigal do well? His pitch selection is awful and he's striking out more now with no increase in power.
  4. Well it was fun for a little bit, but Kyle is getting torched now
  5. As expected, making the guy with a 7 era look great.
  6. Mancini with the throwing error that was somehow called a hit and not cutting down the lead runner on another play. Is he aware he doesn't want to help Baltimore anymore?
  7. Disagree, the contact has actually been improving steadily despite the results, but he's getting incredibly poor babip. His Hard% is 43.1 which is very high and his med% is 32.8. Despite this he's sporting a .218 babip.
  8. I don't know what to believe anymore. About a week ago I read an article about how Claypool was in a much better place and the staff expected big things from him this year.
  9. Hernandez from top 100 to not even in the Cub top 20, ouch.
  10. I'm interested to see the game score tomorrow because he has to be around 20 blown calls so far
  11. Madrigal and his elite bat to ball skills has stuck out swinging on a pitch a foot and a half off the plate in 2 of his last 3 at bats
  12. I have to question a person's desire to be happy if they want to be a fan of the Cubs
  13. On pace for 68-94 despite the hot start. 100 losses seems very doable.
  14. 22 runs in the last 9 games, good for 2.44 runs a game. 7 of those 22 came in 1 game.
  15. If Mancini puts any hustle at all into that trot, he's sitting at 1B. The 3B actually had time to lob it over and still beat Mancini to the bag.
  16. I'm honestly fairly pessimistic. The farm has been good, not great performance wise. They have lots of guys who should be solid major leaguers but there's not much superstar upside. I thought that guy was Alcantara, but he's had a pretty disappointing year. Davis is one year from being released and Christian Hernandez is probably off every top 100 board by the end of the season. The major league team just has so many holes and question marks.Even assuming PCA/Amaya are able to fill CF/C in 2024, 3B is still greatly wanting, 1B is a huge question mark with Mervis vastly underperforming. If Stroman and/or Smyly are dealt you basically have Steele, who we may or may not see again in '23, and Wesneski in the rotation. Merryweather and Alzolay have been great, but besides that I'm kind of luke warm on Leiter and while I have high hopes for Estrada, so far he has been basically been a 1 pitch pitcher. The rest can be fired into the sun.
  17. I think I genuinely dislike this team. There's just no attachment at all.
  18. 10 minutes too late, but maybe don't walk Ohtani with the best hitter of our generation behind him.
  19. Stroman is going to net them a significant prospect.
  20. 8 runs in their last 5 games. It's almost like this is a terrible offense, which everyone but Jed seemed to know before the season started.
  21. This is the single most boring Cub team I can recall. No stars, no exciting young guys in the lineup everyday to dream on.
  22. 1st and 3rd 1 out results in 1 run on a ball that was almost a double play. The next inning 1st and 2nd with no outs and nothing. How are they just completely inept with risp?
