I figure this thread is as good as anywhere else, but given PCA's improvements and Luis Robert's continued decline, I'm firmly on the I wouldn't even consider dealing PCA for Robert straight up. It's funny when you realize 5 months ago, you would have needed PCA++ to land Roberts.
We're kind of at the point where just about the entirety of the 2025 draft needs to be spent on the OL/DL. They're pretty set up everywhere else for the long term.
I mean Cameron is in the hall of very good. At 50.6 fWAR he's like 10 fWAR from being a hall of famer. I get hoping for good outcomes, but asking for a HoFer is a bit much.
It blows my mind that the White Sox are 15 games behind the Rockies for the 2nd worst team in baseball. To put that in perspective, the Cubs are only 13.5 games out of the best record in baseball.
Haven't been watching, but man was it predictable that they're getting shut down by random struggling prospect. It's like they can sense hope and every time I start to have some, they make it their mission to crush it.
Ignoring his first disastrous 7 games, Alcantara has 9 HR in 296 PAs. A healthy player in MLB is going to get roughly 700 PAs in a season. That puts Alcantara at 21HR/700PA pace, so he's already at Cameron level HR power. Also, remember he's hitting in one of the most excessively offensive inhibited environments in the minor leagues. There's a reason that Matt Shaw had the 5th highest OPS of all players with 100+ PAs with an .841. What makes Alcantara exciting is there's more in the tank. He could be a legit 30+ HR guy. Also, as far as everything I've read, he's a no doubt CFer.
They're now on pace to win 38 and be outscored by 351 runs. That would be the worst run differential in the modern era. Their current .237 winning percentage is the 2nd worst of the modern era behind only the 1916 Philadelphia Athletics(.235).
