  1. Bellinger opts out. Cubs sign Juan Soto, David Robertson and Jack Flaherty. They trade some MLB ready, or very close to, bats such as Alcantara to Seattle for one of Woo or Miller. C- Amaya 1B- Busch 2B- Nico SS- Dansby 3B- Paredes LF- Happ CF- PCA RF- Soto DH- Seiya SP- Steele, Shota, Flaherty, Woo/Miller, Taillon While I think there's potential for a top 10 offense, I still think it's one bat from a true monster line up, but that rotation is filth.
  2. Mr. last name is completely fine. I'm getting the impression they're just saying last name and that's it. Like if someone came up to a person and just said "hey Smith", That's weird, but if they're saying Hi Mr. Smith that's completely normal.
  3. I don't believe in anything like curses, but Davis certainly tests that belief. He can't get through more than a few weeks of baseball without some type of longer lasting injury. I do hope he signs a minor league deal with the Cubs because I do think, if he can manage to stay up right for any extended period, he will see some play in MLB.
  4. Yeah, someone calling me by my last name would feel like a high school coach was talking to me. It's not insulting, just kind of weird in a normal social situation.
  5. I'd take prime Lorenzo Cain. That's a 5-6 fWAR CFer.
  6. My first thought was, "can they both somehow lose?".
  7. Safety is the one position that I could get over it if there was a guy they really loved.
  8. I saw a way too early mockdraft that has the Bears taking RB Quinshon Judkins at #18 in the 2025 draft. Let's ignore for a moment that taking a RB in the first is not a great idea unless they're an omega prospect such Bijan Robinson, if that 1st round pick isn't used on OL or at worst DL, I'm going to lose my mind. It's so obvious where this team needs to invest.
  9. I wont say terrible, but I think his ultimate upside is game manager. He has a very accurate arm, but he has very little arm strength and he's going to have to march down the field 5 to 10 yards at a time via check downs and quick outs. edit: He's the rich man version of Tyson Bagent even though the likely outcome is they're the same guy.
  10. My point being, if either of those end up being caught. The story today amongst the media is that he was just so so or even maybe ok for a guying making his first start. He certainly wasn't good, but damn is there a lot of doom in gloom our there right now.
  11. Caleb gets this TD and that Allen drop and we're talking completely different about his performance.
  12. A big step up in difficulty for this Bear team. The defense and special teams aren't going to be able to carry them to victory against this kind of quality opponent if Caleb no shows again.
  13. We're seriously getting into one of the biggest #1 overall busts in NFL history. Russell: Career 18TD 23 INT 62 .2 RTG Bryce Young: Career 12TD 12 INT, 73.7 RTG prior to today's 32.8.
  14. On their own 10, almost definitely.
  15. If this offense even slightly showed up today....
  16. Every damn play the oline gives up a free runner
  17. How is that not intentional grounding?
  18. This is more or less absolute worse case scenario minus injury
  19. There is not a single positive thing to say about this offense.
  20. How many tipped balls is that today?
  21. A 3rd down conversion, finally.
