  1. Like I said, I'm with you unless another team is willing to part with a 2nd. I know I said an early 3rd, but I'm not even entirely comfortable with that.
  2. The White Sox are now 31-101. To avoid being the first team to lose 121 games in the modern era, they'll have to go 11-19.
  3. Yes, a lot of it specifically mentioning the Cowboys and Raiders are teams that should be in on Bagent.
  4. All this talk about about how the Bears should cash in on Bagent and bring in a veteran backup. Then I keep seeing the Bears should get a 4th back. Why would they do this? I'm not some huge Bagent believer, but why have to go out and spend a significant amount of money on a capable backup just for a 4th round pick? Unless teams want to get stupid and throw like a 2nd or very early 3rd then it just doesn't make sense.
  5. Since the Allstar Break Amaya(80 PAs)- .311/.346/.527 144 wRC+ PCA(114 PAs)- .238/.286/.457 103 wRC+ Since August 1st Amaya(56 PA)- .302/.327/.585 152 wRC+ PCA(75 PA)- .284/.342/.582 152 wRC+
  6. I think this is pretty accurate. There's a lot of guys who are likely going to be solid hitters at the MLB level. I don't see anyone, outside of Cam Smith, who I think can be that franchise bat.
  7. This year in general has been crazy for the fWAR numbers people are putting out. In 2023 you had Acuna at 9.0, Freeman at 7.8 and Betts at 7.6. Everyone else was sub 6.5. This year with about 30 games left we have Judge 9.6 Witt 9.0 Soto 7.8 Henderson 6.7 Lindor 6.5 Otani 6.3 Duran 6.0 We might see 2 guys break 10.0 fWAR, 3 over 8 fWAR* and 7 over 7.0 fWAR. On a sad note Ian Happ is the highest on the Cubs at 2.8 fWAR which is 59th. There's a very real chance the Cubs might not have a single 3 fWAR offensive player in 2024 which kind of blows my mind.
  8. Really disappointed the Hawks didn't get this done. They have ample resources and it was a position of need.
  9. I really want them to fall below a .235 winning percentage so they can take the lowest percentage in the modern era.
  10. He also rarely makes it through the 6th and while he has proven to be a FIP/xFIP/xERA beater over a 200+ inning sample at this point, I find it extremely hard to believe he's going to keep doing so by almost a full 1.5 runs. It's not like I want him off the team, but I'd rather he be used for piggy backing or for 2 to 3 inning stretches from the pen.
  11. I'm going to be really hyped if he starts 2025 in AA.
  12. Alcantara didn't even make the top 10?
  13. No idea why he's still in A ball.
  14. Yeah, he definitely shouldn't be counted on as a part of the 2025 bullpen at this point.
  15. I have no desire to see Assad as a starter next year.
  16. Thrown out without saying a word to the umpire. I swear being an umpire requires a persecution complex.
  17. I'm getting my offseason hot take out of the way now. PCA posts a 5+ fWAR season in 2025.
  18. You're new, you'll get it soon.
  19. PCA up to a 74 wRC+ and a .630 OPS. .650 at season end really is completely realistic at this point.
  20. That is the potential to be a franchise bat.
  21. Cam Smith up to a 174 wRC+, I know we're very close to the end of the year, but i wonder if he gets a small taste of A+ with an outside shot to start 2025 in AA.
  22. It took me like 3 videos to be completely done with that QB School guy. He's so arrogant and he just hates certain guys for no reason and refuses to change his opinion. He still refuses to call Moore a WR1. It's like he's the football equivalent of Keith Law if Keith Law was also a minor league wash out.
  23. Remember between taxes, union dues, agents, dietitians, personal trainers, etc. He's likely only taking maybe 325k home and yeah that's a lot, but it's very temporary. Once the NFL career is over, he's just joe schmoe who has no work experience that isn't football.
  24. This Tyler Fitzgerald thing has me baffled. The guy had 34 major league at bats going into this season, his age 26 season. He's less than a month from 27. FG had him as the Giant's #26 prospect a 35+FV guy. Since coming up this year, he has torched the league. Through 217 PAs he's sporting a ,312/.364/.604 slash good for a 166 wRC+. Oh yeah, he's also playing plus defense at 3B and he's also been a valuable on the bases stealing 14 bags on 17 attempts. He's already at 3.3 fWAR and over the course of a full season he's currently playing at around 10 fWAR pace.
  25. I mean over a full season of starts(30), he's on 2.3 fWAR pace. if you're running that guy out as your #5 or even your #4, you could one heck of a lot worse.
