  1. well, if this isnt the most racist post of 2011 You are correct. It isn't. Murderer isn't a race. But fiery, hot-tempered latin pitcher is fyp
  2. I still can't believe Hendry gave Grabow all that money. WTF? Oh wait, yes I can. And I think it would be a mistake to spend any more money on the bullpen. Get somebody for the bench or second base.
  3. I still can't get over how much cash we gave Grabow. Cubs offseason key acquisitions: Matt Capps, Scott Podsednik, Carlos Silva Key loses: Rich Harden, Milton Bradley LOL.
  4. Except for the key points that are completely wrong, like Milton not owning up to when he performed poorly or not being able to play with the pressure of what was going on. He may have been playing better but he was certainly losing it. There is just no way that Milton Bradley can make it thru a season at wrigley, even if he was putting up sosa-like numbers. Some people are just drawn toward chaos. I'm glad we got a few bucks in return for him.
  5. So by that you mean he is a guy who is alive?
  6. If our bench consists solely of those guys, that would be awful. The bench shouldn't just be for AAAA players. I'd appreciate some sort of veteran presence who understands the role of a pinch hitter for $1-2 million in addition to those listed. These are guys whop could have been major leaguers but have been onthe wrong team. Besides, weve already tried veteran bench guys. How did Ryan Freel, Aaron Miles, Joey Gathright, Rey Ordonez, Neifi Perez, John Mabry, Enrique Wilson and a few other journeymen I cant think of work out? Fox gives us a 6th oufielder, occasional 3B and 1B, emergency catcher+pop off the bench Hoffpauir gives us a 5th outfielder+backup for Lee+lefty pop off the bench Blanco gives us a great defensive SS/2B plus can hit better than Miles Fuld gives us a great defensive 4th outfielder+ a solid lefty off the bench Fontenot gives us a platoon for Baker if he cant cut it as a starter I want to know what cheap journeyman is out there that will be enough of an upgrade to make it worth out while? Even Bobby Scales is a better option than paying 2-3 mil for another journeyman. Agree 100%. I one positive from this year is we have found some guys who can provide adequate production off the bench on the cheap. Why pay for trash like Kevin Gregg and Aaron Miles when you have guys in the farm system who can do the same or better. Although I do want the Cubs to get Orlando Hudson and let Baker become more of a supersub type player. Fox, Blanco, Hoff and Fontenot are sufficient bench players.
  7. OMFG somebody do something about this please!
  8. Glad to see our Cobs finish the season on a somewhat respectable note by finishing over .500. Not too long ago, that would have been considered a pretty big success on the northside, instead of this disapointment. However, I think with just the right tweaks, this team should be pretty good next year and I remain optimistic. Aramis and the rejuvenated DLee is a pretty good place to start your lineup. Go Cobs!
  9. I have no idea why this clown is allowed to post.
  10. Screw the cardinals and their jort-loving fans. Hopefully Hendry has a productive offseason and we take the division back.
  11. Aramis is awesome and I hope he retires a Cub after winning 4 World Series.
  12. Anybody with two eyes should have been able to see Hendry's offseason moves were terrible. He needs to go.
  13. Yanks aren't getting rid of him Well they're going to have to make room for Holliday, so I think he's gone. :-$
  14. I haven't been able to watch, has Taguchi been getting standing O's?
  15. Johnny Damon. Dude can still hit.
  16. I am intrigued by Seth Smith.
  17. I can see the Cubs moving Fukudome to RF and doing something absolutely asinine like getting Chone Figgins for CF. That's a lot smarter of a move than making Milton Bradley the focus of your offseason plans.
  18. i dont want to fall into sullivan's trap, but by the looks of things, a lot. Lee and Ramirez and company weren't exactly wishing him a fond farewell. Yes, but unless you can come up with a name right now who will produce more than the mythical production levels of a 2010 Milton Bradley, you are completely wrong.
  19. Agree 100%. He's basically an overpaid, injury-prone, [expletive] version of Scott Hatteberg. WANT Find me one person on this board who thinks Bradley is as good as Bonds. One. Quiet, he's on a roll. Yes, and you are the one defending Milton Bradley, even though his teammates and organization will not. Screw these guys, I'm with Flamez24Rulz! You know, the guy with Aaron Rodgers jumping around in every one of his posts!
  20. Agree 100%. He's basically an overpaid, injury-prone, [expletive] version of Scott Hatteberg. WANT
  21. You don't know that. Yeah he does. Who's replacing Bradley in RF next year? I'm eager to hear your response. Why don't you wait until we see who actually will replace him next year before you make any proclamations as to who will have a better season. Speculation at this point is like pissing in the wind. Or you can look at the realistic in-house and free agent RF options for next year and see that I'm right You do realize Bradley is on borrowed time as far as another injury goes. He has never put together a full season except when he was DH'ing. My guess is he won't be even be in the NL next year.
  22. You don't know that. Yeah he does. Who's replacing Bradley in RF next year? I'm eager to hear your response. Trade for Pujols, put him in RF. Was that so hard?
