This should be over by now. It's pathetic the nonstop excuses being made on how it's not the Astros players faults for their suckitude, and how the Cubs were not absolutely dominant.

How much does your opinion change, no matter your stance, if the Cubs win the WS? To Me (33), that would completely change my position. If the Cubs finally win it at Wrigley, that completes everything and I don't care if they build a new park somewhere else. If the Cubs were to build anew before winning it all, that would be giving up to ghosts and curses IMO.

These ballplayers have mini-families in every sports town in the country, what a stupid excuse to make.

Aren't the team clubhouses supposedly crappy? Or is that only the visitors clubhouse? At the very least have the team amenities be completely modernised for our players. I get this vision in my head of the clubhouse from Major League with a big ugly hot tub that doesn't have heat.

I like Mariotti, he nails it more often than not. He writes mostly negative stuff, but it's always better than the ridiculous spin Carrie Muskat has to write. Lilly isn't impressive, but he beat the crap out of the Cardinals. So basically, Lopez is completely trashing the Cards offense. Pujols and the gang need to give him a blanket party.

Cause Soriano is a good hitter. Agree, Soriano is actually showing quite a bit more patience than Lee, lately. Over the last 10 games, Soriano has walked 8 times, Lee 4 Derrek's propensity to swing at the first pitch with a pitcher who just walked 2 batters is extremely frustrating.

It would be nice to see an account of the incident from a bystander. Attitude problem? Yes, he obviously has preconcieved notions and a chip on his shoulder against people who do like to acknowledge God Bless American/National Anthem, so it's not out of the realm of possibility that he might exaggerate. Hence, it would be nice to see a 3rd person account. I don't believe his account, and I wouldn't believe the Police account either.

Any possibility this could have been heat related? It was in the 90's here around northern IN yesterday, I imagine it was pretty nasty at Wrigley last night as well. I would agree to shutting Z down for a couple weeks, I think we are fortunate to have a team that is deep enough in SP to handle this.

I know we have the best offense in the NL, but I don't mind with Lou fiddling with the lineup right now, as long as it's right now while there's still a month left. That leaves time to see if it works or not, and then tweak again. Lee really isn't performing and needs to be moved down. I don't like Lee in the 2 over Theriot, when riot has 30 points more OBP (.391) than Lee. Derreck had an awesome April, but doesn't seem to be a power threat now, let's see what he can do batting 6 or 7.
