I was listening to ESPN 1000 (Silvy and Waddle) on the way down this morning and Bruce Levine was on at about 9:20. He said that besides all of the injury drama with Z, there is friction between him and some of his teammates. Levine stated that Z called Theiot out for not making the play on Tuesday night (Hunter Pence infield hit is all I could assume there) and that several teammates are taking issue with this. Let me say that this is not word for word, but pretty damn close. It amazes me that he can call out teammates but when he messes up he just smiles and acts as if it's no big deal. I'm getting tired of his act.

He called the guy a quitter when he said this team is not going to beat the Randy Johnson's, etc, in the playoffs and isn't going to win in the playoffs. Then the caller got loud and he cut him off.

You should host the PG show, David. 8-) I hear you but the passion with this team is like no other in Sports. Cubs fans tend to freak when they start pulling this crap in September.

Man, Kap is just tearing up Sori. He said that he should play the game like DeRosa, Soto and others. He is questioning his approach to the game. Now Kap is ripping the callers. LOL. He's calling them quitters and cut the last guy off the phone.

Just Ripped Sori. "He should be ashamed of himself for how he plays the game. He loafs on the play at the plate when he could have been at second. A wonderfully talented player who's Baseball smarts are below average".

Kap: "You're making 90M and you are told to get an MRI and you do not go. He's taking a ton of the Cubs money and is the supposed ace of the staff, so you have to question his mental state". He just ripped Sori as well.

Does he actually have a reason? So far, I haven't heard a thing. A reason for what, Raisin? To be ticked off at Z. Doesn't sound like Lou is. He said that Z's mental state is not where it needs to be. He's about to go off, seriously. Not only that but the phone lines are lit up. Get the pop corn.

Lou is very matter of fact in the PG. He's very under control and just said: "They out played us, out pitched us and out hit us". He also said that Z wasn't at the game tonight. I gotta say, his act is wearing thin. IMO, he's a selfish prick.

This series has been so bad it's been comical. I'm not sure if they were booing Lee for whiffing, or just booing this horrendous Baseball we have seen for 5 games in a row. ESPN 1000 was pretty much all over Lee today. Silvy and Waddle and then Jurko. Jurko called him Derrek Theriot.

The thing that gets me about this series is that Hunter Pence, a Douche who couldn't get a hit against the Brewers to save his life, comes into Wrigley and goes off. And Wiggington turns into a good left fielder as well. :roll: But none of that compares to the Astros, without Carlos Lee, the guy who kills the Cubs like no other player, coming in here and possibly sweeping us. So, Lee kills us yet we can beat them when he plays. Now we figure with him out for the season, we'd handle them no problem. Nope. Sometimes Baseball makes ZERO sense.

We probably won't know tomorrow. He's going in the morning, so I think we'll at least have something preliminary on what is wrong. Who said he's going in the morning? Lou said he's going tomorrow and being that's it's a night game, you'd have to figure he is going early tomorrow. Why? It's not like A) Zambrano has to be at the game and B) He couldn't go in the afternoon and still get to the park in plenty of time He could but I think he'll want to get this examined asap. I don't think Z, or the Cubs will want to wait until the afternoon. It's just a hunch. -

Well, we went 20-8 with Z contributing next to nothing in August, so there is a lot of truth to us being able to win without him. However, we go from a dominant team to a very good one without him. The thought of Ted Lilly serving up gopher balls in game 3 of a series scare me. We'll just have to wait until tomorrow and see what the deal is.
