  1. Game will be on local 49 and FSMW for Cards broadcast. Walkable options are Houlihans or Hooters.(not great) Uber to campus for Murphys or Firehaus. Uber to downtown for The Esquire, Black Dog, or Watsons. Go Cubs!
  2. I love and respect everyone here. we did it. :flythew: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:
  3. Was this worth punting the past three seasons? ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!?!?! We'll never win anything with this ownership group, can always keep jerking off to/selling potential though.
  4. I think the Cardinals would execute an opponent if they celebrated like Adams did after hitting that HR.
  5. http://replygif.net/i/255.gif Does the Ricketts fam view game threads? If so.
  6. Wow, since you already have it penciled in, where is Kyle going to play? He's not a MLB catcher, Rizzo has 1B locked up into the next decade, and i have a hard time seeing that big body running around a Major League outfield.
  7. Cool, we're not going to spend money on the draft now either. Thanks Ricketts fam, at least they've opened up the Spring and Summer for other activities.
  8. http://espn.go.com/chicago/mlb/story/_/id/10967581/chicago-cubs-owner-tom-ricketts-opts-return-original-wrigley-field-renovation-plan LOOOOOOOOHHHHOOOOHOOOSSSSSSEERRR! You put yourself in the hole by tens of millions of a year dipsh#t thanks for putting us all in there with you.
  9. Sorry to disappoint, I had to check in after scoring 1 run over an entire work week. Being surrounded by Yankees fans probably sucks but i can't imagine it's as bad as being around Cardinal fans the past 3+ years while we are actively trying to lose as many games as possible.
  10. BUMP =D> http://www.nytimes.com/2014/04/15/sports/baseball/as-cubs-wander-into-the-bronx-theyve-never-been-worse.html?_r=0
  11. Thank you for pouring all of your resources into another winner Ricketts Fam, we are so lucky to have fans as owners.
  12. =D> Well said, at least they gave us a mascot today to distract the kids and tourists from the awful on field product. I can't believe there are people that believe the BS that comes out of Tom's mouth.
  13. Great! Now they'll have a big name President of Baseball Ops AND a Manager to hide behind while they continue to spend nothing on payroll. Theo and Jed should be hiring the manager not our corporate stooges.
  14. http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/teamrankings?year=2013/_/category/own#table Congrats to the Ricketts Family. :clapping: I can't wait for the $75 million payroll next season as we punt yet another season.
  15. As far as I'm concerned, it has been a pretty good week both on and off the field for the Cubs, so yeah, I agree. =D> Not sure how that link is related, though. If you like splitting a home series with the Second worst team in the NL (Outside of the Cubs) and empty threats from our cash strapped owner then i guess it has been an awesome week.
  16. Another tremendous week on and off the field for our fearless owners. =D> http://www.forbes.com/sites/mikeozanian/2013/05/01/ricketts-threat-to-move-from-wrigley-field-related-cubs-debt/
  17. He is and should be fine. He has been dealt a dreadful hand, I can't point to what he could/should have done differently. This all falls on the bozos that bought the franchise.
  18. I apologize if it's already been discussed, I'm just absolutely disgusted with the state of the franchise. It has become obvious that they have no intention in putting the money back onto the field.
  19. ever happen to The Chicago Cubs? I'd say yes, sell the future so they can profit on a crap product in the present, get absolutely worked when trying to get the cities help on the renovation, as a result we'll see the worst 3 stretch since 1960-62 with absolutely no end in sight. Thanks a lot you Pleasantville A-holes!
  20. What did i want him to do? Don't give away a proven back end of the rotation starter. Don't go into the season relying on a kid who has never been a full time MLB starter. (not to mention a kid you are stretching out after using him in the pen last season) You obviously have a better idea of what's going on in the farm system than i do but isn't it just another indictment of Hendry that there wasn't ONE MLB ready arm in the system when these guys went down? I'll give you that there was some bad luck but pitchers get hurt all the time and he had no back up plan. Well he did have one but he traded it to Washington for nothing.
  21. I had been wanting to look this up for about 2 months but was afraid of the results. In the 29 Games the Cubs had to "spot" start someone (Coleman, Russell, Davis, Lopez, Ortiz) they are 5-24. Thanks Jimbo for not thinking it was wise to have a reliable 6th guy. (Gorz maybe??) On the bright side when a major leaguer starts (Dempster, Z, Garza, Wells, Cashner x1) the Cubs are 32-31 which would be good enough baseball to be in the mix in the NL Central. How is this guy still the GM?
  22. I'd just like to point out that Aaron Miles had 5 Rbis in 157 Abs last year Starlin has 6 in his first 3
  23. I would do that deal he has 2 years $23 million left and could play a legit center field. I would do it if getting rid of Bradley absolutely has to be done.
  24. Good thread. It looks like the rockies would be the ideal team to acquire someone from. Hawpe would make a third cajun too. That would mean out right releasing milton. Tampa would be one of the few teams that might take milton if we footed a lot of the bill. Could we get Upton? if so that is absolutely the move. The other guy they would probably part with is Burrell but, Soriano, Fuk, and Burrell would be a nightmare defensively. Outside possibility is trade Bradley for Eric Byrnes ($11 mil next season) which i'm not so sure of and he's EXTREMELY right handed.
  25. fair. i hate Kevin Gregg he only gave up 3 HRs last year which makes me think he was "better" probably just luckier
