  1. No technically they only have to win 2/3 at Wrigley but I don't see how they could win both game 6 and 7 on the road in LA. I know they did so in Cleveland last year but I think this Dodger team is better than that Cleveland team. You don't see how they could win 2 games in a row in LA? Really? You don't see how that could happen? I don't believe you. I think you do see how that could happen. I think we all see how that could happen. Right, but I would rather they win the next 4 games and LA can go horsefeathers off into the offseason
  2. What? No, they don’t have to sweep the three home games to win. No technically they only have to win 2/3 at Wrigley but I don't see how they could win both game 6 and 7 on the road in LA. I know they did so in Cleveland last year but I think this Dodger team is better than that Cleveland team.

  4. The Cubs pretty much have to sweep the 3 games at Wrigley to win this series. Just frustrating that with any kind of offense its at least 1-1 heading back to Chicago. I think Edwards is right, before we know it this will be tied. Game 5 comes and they dong Kershaw to oblivion, then close it out in LA on Saturday.
  5. Who's dropping the ball on the new game thread?
  6. You are very close to realizing that you're looking for something to be wrong because the game was frustrating. Hitting Scherzer, Strasburg, Kershaw, and Jansen(15 of his 25 PA) is hard. You'd hope he'd do better of course, but he also has 5 hits(2 XBH) and a walk in 6 games. He hasn't been a black hole. Fair enough. Hitting good pitchers is hard. But he’s an MVP. You expect more from an MVP. He already has a pretty extensive and very mediocre playoff resume.
  7. Roberts was brilliant setting up Miggys grand slam in game 1 last year
  8. Lakey's numbers against the Dodgers have been pretty good. Put me down for starting him game 2. http://i.imgur.com/Tw6pxwV.gif
  9. Any idea when the drawing is for the NLCS?
  10. Hardly any sleep but this is how I drove to work this morning:
  11. I think after the Cubs go up 2-0 Sunday, Joe will be singing " I love LA" by Randy Newman [bbvideo=560,315] [/bbvideo]
  12. Same here, I avoid bars at all costs when my teams are in the playoffs
  13. The greatest postseason pitcher of this generation is going tonight. People forget that
  14. 5-1 Cubs it will be close until the 7th and I see a big Dong from Addy. Bring on the Dodgers.
  15. Well go Yankees in the ALCS so the Cubs get HFA in a possible WS matchup
