I don't like vetoes because what may look like a one-sided trade on the surface might actually be good for both teams given their strengths and weaknesses.
I believe his middle name is dolan, not freaking. I think you're both off, but I'm pretty sure it does start with an "F" And does it rhyme with sucking? :D
Manager: "Suarez, I have some good news. I'm taking you out." Suarez: "I thought you said you have some GOOD news." Manager: "I do. I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico. Give me the ball." I think that was the first commercial in that series.
This was a tough one. I'd vote for both against most other competition, but when forced to choose I have to go with the Carolinian who recommends good desserts. :D
No, no, no. [-X It's "Thank you, sir, may I please have another?". Get your Animal House references right. :D I thought it was 'Please sir, could I have some more?' and was an Oliver Twist reference. Food, glorious food,Hot sausage and mustard.
I'm not able to watch the game (I'm on vacation, and the hotel I'm currently staying at doesn't have WGN  ). I'm following along with Gameday, however, and saw Sosa hit #600. Since it's looking like the Cubs would lose anyway I can be happy for Sammy.
That was a clutch quote abuck. Who's hyperbole? he's a LOOGY Not just a LOOGY, the best damn LOOGY in history. A LOOGY so good he single-handedly wins the World Series for whatever team he's on. :D
It's not easy for every GM to eat $5.6M. That's how much the Cubs still owe Eyre for the remainder of 2007 and all of 2008. Then Hendry needs to learn the meaning of "sunk cost". Send Hendry to me. I actually teach the concept of sunk costs in some of the college accounting courses I teach.
