I have no vested interest in what happens this year, but if the MLB schedule is the same next year I'd suggest reinstating the 22nd week of the regular season, starting the playoffs one week later, and having a 10-day finals with 10 starts.

So even if you subscribe to the print version of the Herald, you have to pay more money to see stuff online. I've seen this with other papers too, and it's unacceptable. People who already pay for a paper shouldn't have to pay again to look at it online.

This one was already resolved by league vote. 9 owners in favor, 2 not and 3 said nothing. Are you confusing this with your other league? We have 16 owners in this league (you accounted for 14) and, although we've discussed this from time to time, I don't recall a formal vote (that doesn't necessarily mean there wasn't one; I could have forgotten about it). viewtopic.php?f=24&t=59724 Typo on the 3....should have been 5. My other league has 16 teams as well. Forgot about that poll (I even posted in that thread). I was thinking of polls on the Roadkill site and couldn't remember one.

How could he have more CG's than decisions? Back then there could be tie games, where the game didn't count in the standings (thus no decision) but individual statistics still counted (thus the complete games). One game in the 1907 World Series between the Cubs and Tigers finished in a tie. In fact, although not very common, tie games were possible until fairly recently (I think they were mainly when an official game had to be called because of rain and the game was tied at the time). -
And who's Rodriguez? Did the Cubs trade for Wandy? :D

in an unrelated story, NFL replay officials for Colts games will be seen driving to games in 2011 Dodge Chargers. And now the Colts have suspended Tressel for 6 games.

I outscored two of the active playoff teams this week and came within 1 1/2 points of a third. So clearly I should have been in. :P

A fan in the stands was struck by lightning during one of the delays in the West Virginia-Marshall game. The first delay was for about three hours, followed by about five minutes of game action (and another WVU touchdown), followed by another delay of over an hour. The teams then agreed to call it a game, and WVU won 34-13.
