    it is probably because there are a few guys ahead of him like hill & guzman. looking at the guys we have now without wood, prior & maddux , i still think the cubs starting pitching can be a major strength after 2006. with miller doing well in rehab a rotation of z, miller & williams/rusch to go along with 2 others from the hill, marshall, guzman & ryu list looks very good to me talent wise. while i'm glad the cubs are going with cedeno instead of trading for tejada, maybe it wouldnt be a bad thing if prior & wood were both gone. in hindsight, i wonder if the cubs wish they would have taken texeria instead of prior. I get sick to my stomach considering a post-prior cubs team

    I have no baseball sigs, but my brother and I do have a card with Sweetness's sig on it. He signed it "WP". we got it in Platteville Wi, during training camp and Payton was done for the day, headed out witha flu or something when he was walking off the field and simply walked up to a group of us kids (about 6 of us) who were watching him practice. He signed something for each one of us, shook our hands, and went to the locker room, ignoring the mob of reporters...he was a class act... my mom met Ernie Banks, but didnt bother getting his signature.....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr............

    Because Alan Benes and Matt Morris were just too dominant for us to resign. They both play for the Yankees now. We just need some arms to fill in around Rick and Bud. As long as you still have Darryl Kile as your #3 you should be alright DUUUUUUDE........TOO SOON

    thats what struck me, a big ole purple spot RIGHT in the middle of the strike zone...not good....

    in my opinion, the outfield's in trouble even if murton, pierre, and jones stay healthy all year. it has the potential to be one of the worst outfields in baseball. if they got someone like floyd, you'd have to make murton the 4th OF. you could start him against all lefties, either for floyd or jones. why? they all "catch the ball" :wall:

    Some sort of spousal abuse charge. A couple days later his wife admitted she either made it up or really exaggerated it, can't remember which. A bit unfortunate for Julio though, I think the Astros released him because of it. IC..maybe I got the info wrong...

    didnt Lugo get into some trouble? a couple of DWI's? why would Hendy ditch Farnsworth/Walker because they have character issues and go pick up Lugo if he has proven to carry baggage as well? WTF is going on in the Trib tower?
