cabrera? Miggy-for 1st base

Lini for Lee, sign Cabrera, dun.

Well, he was 18 on the left. mmmmmmmm carne esmechada gooooooooood maybe our own Veneuzalian Carlos can campaign him to come to Chicago.

I agree. I think Murton is capable of 20-30 hr range power. with Arod/Tejada would give us infield power, we wouldnt need that in Murton. of course no Arod/Tejada means OF needs to produce more.

my worst fear is him wanting to play with another certain superstar in a certain baseball crazy town that wears red. call in Cubs pessimism if you will, but i still hold that fear.

**yawn** did we sign AROD yet?

well that would be both comical and a huge letdown on many levels

this is why

At least in that scenario Aramis would be hustling. aaaaaaaahahahhahhahahahahhahaha!!!! so tru

Moronic. 5-fold? Winning? Let's have a look at Texas' record while ARod was with the club, Roz. Explain to me how the dynamic would be any different with the Sox. It's identical. ARod would be *ALL* they would have. And they'd lose. Not necessarily. ARod, Konerko, Dye and Thome could be a solid core for a couple years. Texas's record doesn't say a thing about what would happen to another team that took him on. Texas didn't make a mistake by paying ARod, their problem was wasting millions on much lesser players and having no pitching. But you are right, I don't see them getting $1.5b in revenue off of ARod. But the financial engine is very similar. The Sox aren't going to expand their payroll that much, and they aren't raking in dough like the Cubs. They wouldn't be able to keep around all those players. Dye & Thome likely on the big slide downward anyway. And teams always need to keep improving. If you aren't improving, you're getting worse. You can't look at it in a vacuum. There will be future needs. Needs that won't be met because the Sox won't have the cash. I don't know, it looks & feels like Rangers to me. I think jersey has a very good point about pitching, as much as I hate to admit the Sox have some decent pitching. Thing is, the Rangers prolly make more money then the Sox do. soemthing for someone to verify. In any event, I see about the same results, big name (arod) not doing much towards a championship.

Bruce is sooo full of it. where does he get off writing this dribble every damn week. baseball is OBVIOUSLY not about walks. they clog bases. and he who spends the most wins the most. duh. Hendry should have him banned from the clubhouse.

BUMP.

ooo and I think AROD has to be devistated to hear Torre will be gone. He'll need a new father figure. Uncle Lou to the rescue.

Dead Kennedys song!!! I know it as a Johnny Paycheck song. i KNOW THE dk VERSION, BUT WHO THE HELL IS JOHNNY PAYCHECK?

Sori for Manny straight up?

Dusty looks great in red.

That is hilarious. My favorite part... lmao I loved the point about Dunn needing two rotator cuff surgeries from swinging the bat so much

I read that as a rumor

FWIW, here is the quality of pitchers faced in AVG/OBP/SLG allowed: Edgar Renteria 0.253/0.337/0.404 Ryan Theriot 0.256/0.335/0.405 Miguel Tejada 0.252/0.330/0.398 can someone expl;ain these numbers? are they saying Theriot compares well to both Renteria and Tejada?
